  1. Yeah. All I want is a clinch b/c of a win by us in front of the Wrigley fans. It would be so sweet against STL though. But that could only happen on Saturday and I can't wait for that.
  2. I'd really like for the Stros to do well b/c I hope the WC comes from the Central, but if that holds up and the Cubs win tonight, then I will be VERY pumped about clinching at home.
  3. Lou just referred to Dempster as "The Dempster" on the pregame with Ron...
  4. Anybody want to guess on what the chances of winning the division will be if we win or lose tonight? Currently: 99.4% Win: 99.7% Lose: 99.2%
  5. The dude doing the Cubs postgame keeps saying the MN is 5. Somebody needs to tell him differently.
  6. Not really. How many times to you hear about a manger being fired, and then the team goes on a nice little hot streak for the new manager? Thats exactly what the Brewers need right now. Willie Randolph anybody? What if 2 teams in the NL playoffs have different managers than they started with?
  7. Wrigley with renovations during the offseasons. -20.
  8. What are they when they throw no hitters? 13-0. What do you think ?? The Angels lost earlier this year with a "no-hitter" that wasn't technically a no-hitter b/c they only pitched 8 innings. andy hawkins threw one for the yankees in 1990, i think, too. lost by 4. By 4! That's crazy!
  9. What are they when they throw no hitters? 13-0. What do you think ?? The Angels lost earlier this year with a "no-hitter" that wasn't technically a no-hitter b/c they only pitched 8 innings.
  10. Yeah, it just changed today. I guess Lou has some reason. Maybe he really wants to bury HOU.
  11. It's so sweet. Win the next 4 and we're in! (As long as Houston loses one against FLA).
  12. Um, Lilly is listed as the starter and now Marquis pitching Wednesday against Sheets.... http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers.jsp?c_id=chc
  13. Today is your birthday, too?? It's all of ours birthday. :yahoo: \:D/ My Dad's is today as well.
  14. Same here. Mizzou wins. Kansas loses. Packers win. Bears lose. Vikings lose. Lions lose. Brewers lose 4 TIMES. Cubs Win! Z no-hitter.
  15. I need to hear that. I haven't yet.
  16. Oh baby! Come on Z! 6 more outs!
  17. I choose not to read this thread until after the inning :) Same here. I don't want to find out that Z lost the no-no from here. I want to see it.
  18. Is there a PA announcer there? I haven't noticed one.
  19. Anybody else notice that for the Cubs to clinch Thursday not only must the Phils close this one out, the Cubs sweep the Stros and the Cubs sweep the Brewers, but the Stros must lose one in their next series. The E# for the Stros is 8 right now. Cubs sweep them: 4 Cubs sweep Brewers: 1
  20. Oh, don't overlook the fact that even if the Cubs sweep the Stros and Brewers, the Stros will have to lose 1 game in their next series to be eliminated b/c our magic number on them is 8. If we win the next two it goes down to 4. Then the Cubs win 3 and it's down to 1. So the Stros must lose 1.
  21. I'm happy with 5 runs, but don't just roll over like this. Get some hits and try to tack on...
  22. The crowd's reaction to every pitch/play is just awesome.
  23. If Z, Harden, Demp (minus 1 pitch to Pujols) and Lilly can all get it together the way they are this week, the Cubs could be in for a fun October.
