    I remember going to the game that Prior pitched in St. Louis during the series that made up LaRussa's Three Nights in August. Aramis Ramirez and Randall Simon both homered in that game. Listening to the post game on the way home was hilarious because some guy called in ranting about losing to the Chicago Pirates and for the rest of the show the radio host referred to the Cubs as the Chicago Pirates. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SLN/SLN200308260.shtml

    I believe it was that he was the first Cub to get 4 hits in one of his first 5 games with the team since Steve Lake. Something to that effect. Must be the Lake effect. Ba-dump-sch.

    Now the teams are throwin at each other and Struck was ejected from the dugout. I have to say, Struck seems to have a short fuse.

    Vitters has let a ball drop between him and SS (it was Vitters ball) and has been doubled up after not realizing the RF had a play on a line drive. Both in the 1st.

    I plan on going to the I-Cubs game on Monday. They have a promotion where fans can take BP on the field before the game. Any idea how this works???

    I'm working in Fort Dodge, IA which means I get the Twins on the hotel TV and MLB.tv is basically worthless.

    I found this odd too. I do know that AJ Ellis grew up a Cubs fan in my hometown of Jackson, MO.     There are only 4 games on Monday. I cannot remember a date during the season where there were so few games.

    MLB.tv is great. I love choosing between either TV broadcast with an audio overlay of either radio broadcast OR just the park sounds (no announcers). Why is Pat not broadcasting?

    I really hope they spend this next offseason. I understand the whole philosophy behind what they are doing, and if it works I'll be so happy, but for the third season in a row I feel like I have to make myself watch the Cubs and ultimately just end up changing the TV to another game. I just want to get back to the point where I actually care if the Cubs win each day. At the moment I honestly do not. I just wait for Castro and Rizzo to bat and then get bored again.

    I'm afraid we're going to see something very similar to Eric Hosmer's 2012. Ridiculously low BABIP to start the year, starts pressing (last two games definitely seems to be pressing) and then goes into a "real" slump and never recovers.
