  1. Eddie Vedder: "I'm nervous but I think I've got somethin'" Those Bryzzo ads are awesome.
  2. 3rd time around the Cubs are going to rock this guy.
  3. This slump isn't going to last. Odd that his splits aren't much diffent and favor LHP a bit although the LHP sample size is small. I don't think facing LHP'ing is the problem, he's not hitting RHP'ing either right now. He says he's not taking a different approach leading off, his patient eye is there, but maybe he needs to be a bit more aggressive earlier in counts? Hopefully we are all laughing about this slump come All-Star break. LHP .182 .379 .364 .743 RHP .222 .329 .365 .694
  4. Koji, Carl, Wade...Finish them. Edit: Or Hector, preferably Carl.
  5. Slick Javy, slick. Now score some horsefeathering runs!
  6. Well done Jake. Could have folded his tent but has fought back. Let's bail him out boys.
  7. Comparing him to recent HP Umps, he's been on point.
  8. These first inning meltdowns by our pitchers is getting bothersome.
  9. Grichuk a 2 run homer to tie in the 9th. Carp a walk off Grand slam in the 11th. Yeah, they deserved that one as well as they played throughout the game.
  10. And Wong getting picked off 2B with no outs and the Cardinals trailing 1-0 at the time. And 2 errors thus far. The Cardinal announcer's frustration is palatable.
  11. Thanks for those numbers David, it's pretty much what I suspected. Kyle's not hurting the team thus far with his defense and is far from a train wreck many predicted he would be, although Rawlings won't be getting any trophies ready with his name on it either. Thus far the eye test tells me that from time to time he takes some bad routes and has a little trouble gathering balls hit into the corner or gap in a timely manner, but overall he's played pretty well and getting better. He does seem to have a good arm which he is learning to control, but the strength of his throws is definitely there. The narrative of Kyle being destined for the AL to DH gets tiresome when it seems apparent that he can become a completely adequate LFer with more time. You can see he's worked hard on his defense and takes pride in being the best defender he can be and as a fan I appreciate that effort.
  12. I curious about Kyle's defensive metrics thus far in 2017. Can one of you guys be so kind and do a little breakdown. I don't know what I'm reading half the time from those spread sheets on Fan Graphs and such. Thanks.
  13. Yeah, I have absolutely no doubt he can be the closer of the future. That said, it would be nice to resign Wade if he continues to do what he do.
