  1. I hope Schwartz gets fired for that call.
  2. Going for it on 4th mid field twice on a drive with over 12 minutes in the game... why did we have to get the Lions Superbowl?
  3. Any idea on what happens in the case where a team picks their own player in the rule 5 and does NOT keep him on the 25 man all year?
  4. currently?, Timmons, Willis, Hali, Wake and several other arguables I would only put Harrison, Ware, Timmons, and Willis on the same level as Briggs in terms of all around linebackers. Urlacher and Lewis are a step behind those guys. Everyone else are great pass rushers, but are not as good all around linebackers as the others IMO.
  5. They really cannot help that Robbie Hummel is made of glass. They definately have some talent, but like I thought they are missing Kramer and Grant more than most thought they would. I knew last year was their best chance to do it. You know... before Hummel went down that is.
  6. I didn't see many circus shots. Kevin Anderson was just nails all night long. Fall away jumpers and three point shots with a hand in his face? Maybe not exactly circus shots, but bad shot selection. Maybe I'm bitter, I don't know. It feels like years ago when this team had national championship aspirations with Hummel leading the way. It's tough to watch them fall to Richmond at this point on a neutral floor. Along with the fact that they can't recruit anyone, it's so depressing to know that this team is their best shot to go deep into the NCAA tourney for the next 4 years at least. I'm really looking forward to being dumped on by the rest of the Big Ten after this year. Hell, why make this year an exception after tonight's performance?
  7. I wonder if Richmond always has such terrible shot selection and make circus shots with regularity against other teams, or is it just against Purdue? Regardless, it looks like Purdue will be taking a huge fall in the rankings after this loss. With such a weak schedule and everyone counting them out without Hummel, Purdue will be lucky to see the top 10 again this season.
  8. Anybody else chuckle reluctantly when Rose had to call his own foul on the Steve Blake head tap? Maybe that's why he doesn't get the fouls, the refs expect him to tell them when he gets fouled? Seriously though, despite if he was right or not, isn't that supposed to be a T this year?
  9. 1998 Vikings?
  10. Holy [expletive], get Scalabrine out of there! He's he's trying to single-handedly neutralizing this Rose explosion!
  11. Somebody may want to let Adleman know this wasn't a playoff game. Battier, Martin, and Lowry over 40 minutes, Miller with 39, and Scola with 38. They have to be dog tired after that.
  12. Wow, every Rockets starter is over 30 minutes except Miller who's at 27.
  13. I may be mistaken, but I don't think you'll find anyone really on this board that feels Sandberg deserved the job. Most the people defending him in this thread just feel the hatred towards him is unwaranted.
  14. Wow, that picture came out huge. Sorry about that.
  15. Jajuan Johnson 2009-2010 http://www.collegesportsfeed.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/jajuan-johnson.jpg Jajuan Johnson 2010-2011 http://confessionsofasportsjunkie.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/img_8330c.jpg Edit: I just put the link in as the image was humongous when I posted it here.
  16. Yep, after they were forced to resort to raining threes from Korver with 12 minutes to go in the 4th when he went 4-6. Which brings up the question why don't the Bulls try to do that more often? Everyone in the arena knew what the Bulls were trying to do and Korver was still sinking them. Deng I'm pretty sure all of Deng's and Rose's makes were wide open.
  17. I keep hearing this but it's just not true. I just watched the recap at nba.com and it had 6 of NY's 3s in the recap. One of them was uncontested out of 6. I specifically remember two of Toney Douglas' threes he had to fade away to get it off. It was just their night.
  18. Eh, it's not like he told the Detroit Free Press. He stated it on Twitter. People do that all the time on Twitter. 90% of the stuff on Twitter is unnecessary crap that is probably better off not being said. In this particular case, mostly because I think KG is a douche, I'm glad Villanueva said something. It's a shitty thing to say to someone. And I never said cancer and alopecia were comparable to an extent that they have the same exact symptoms, but that's how KG made the comparison (at least I would assume so?). So the lack of hair makes them comparable in that way (obviously).
  19. by the way, charlie v is a [expletive]. garnett's comment was ultimately harmless since it was on a basketball court between basketball players that don't have cancer. i'm pretty sure nobody with cancer heard him say it, so who cares? classless blah blah yea ok whatever, but it didn't hurt anything. now i'm sure there are a number of kids with cancer who are big KG fans, and now they have to hear that he made fun of cancer patients. why? because charlie v thought it was necessary to post in-game trash talk on his stupid ass twitter. I'm assuming you don't know that Villanueva has alopecia? Granted he's probably heard stuff like that all his life, but it's still [expletive] to trash somebody for a medical condition. Especially one that effects one's outward appearance. I'm glad he called out KG for that one. is alopecia is comparable to cancer? For the fact that a lot of cancer patients often need chemo which causes them to lose their hair and alopecia causes one to permanently lose their hair... yes. If you're trying to say KG isn't wrong because alopecia isn't nearly as life threatening as cancer, I think you're missing the point.
  20. I thought Ronnie Brewer was going to be. How did he get beat out? Injury. He doesn't look like he's in shape either. I'm hoping he gets it together quickly and is starting next week.
  21. Nice to see Ray Felton turned into a legit three point shooter after shooting 32% for his career. :banghead:
  22. it's already clear to me that scalabrine is going to be thibs' neifi I think he'll go away once Boozer is back. I would rather see Kurt Thomas, at least he can play defense.
  23. Deng wants to win!
  24. Fixed. I hope people that still want Melo are taking notice.
  25. Moving screens all over the place! Stoudamire finally got called for one near the end of the second and Bogans was basically punching Turiaf in the face to keep him from moving into him on screens. This is ridiculous. The turnovers are killing the Bulls too not to mention they usually get a good portion of their points off of turnovers and the Knicks only have 4. Extremely frustrating game. Rose needs to take over and pull this game into reach. I'm hoping the Knicks cool off from shooting. I'm curious to know how many of their points they've scored outside of the paint. Now I know what it was like to be on the other end of the Scott Skiles Bulls.
