Really? Evans isn't anything special and owed ~$32 million over the next 3 years and Rivers is a fringe player who probably should be the the D League and was one of, if not the worst, players in the league last year. You aren't going to get anything "special" back for a half-season of Lou, and the numbers have to work. Evans has scored quite a bit, had an 18-plus PER last season, and is only 24. Rivers is only 21 and in his second year, so he's worth a roll of the dice. He has enough range to be a solid 3-point threat if he develops. Yeah, I think I'd just rather get picks and/or a good-decent young player on a cheaper deal. Here's a crazy trade I just did because I'm currently in a trade machine rabbit hole (this is operating off the assumption the Bucks owner truly is going to try and get the 8 seed or better at all costs). Bulls get: Larry Sanders, Perkins, Sefolosha (expiring), Ekpe Udoh (expiring) Bucks get: Deng, Collison, Perry Jones, Steve Adams Thunder get: Noah, Caron Butler, Gary Neal Bucks lineup moving forward: Knight, Mayo, Deng, Ilyasova, Henson/Pachulia Bulls lineup: Hinrich, Butler, Sefolosha, Boozer, Sanders Thunder lineup: Russ, Neal/Butler/Lamb, Durant, Ibaka, Noah I think I would want a little more than just Larry Sanders for Noah and Deng.
