I know things are looking grim for Olt right now, so let me give you a positive example for us to compare him to. Brandon Moss hit to the tune of a .668 OPS in his age 25 season with the Pirates. He's a guy that I thought was a wasted roster spot in 2009. Three straight years of .850 OPS has me thinking a guy like Olt, who has a similar batting profile to Moss, could have things click into place some day. I realize there's quite a difference between .668 and Olt's .600, but I don't see why Olt couldn't improve in the same strides as Moss did.
