    Oh look no Ramirez or Alcantara. Is this the 4th game since Alcantara has been called up and he has 1 PA. Meanwhile Ramirez is hitting well through his first 8 PAs and finds himself on the bench again.

    His job might not be immediately in jeopardy, but you don't think Counsell's job is in jeopardy if they lose say another 5 games in a row? I think it very much would be. If you don't fire a coach for losing, in this example, 14 games in a row, then what do you fire them for?

    1.5 games out of last place in the division.

    Ok, even after losing 9 in a row, it's still not realistic to talk about selling but damn another 5 or so games and I might be on board.

    A couple weeks ago they had the best record in baseball, now they're 2 games out of last place in the division and a half a game away from missing the playoffs entirely if the season ended today.

    I mean, maybe give Ramirez/Alcantara more than 2 PAs in the cumulative 3 games they've been up?

    This team is just not good. They're a mediocre team that is going to sit somewhere around 80-85 wins.

    This team is incredibly mediocre, RD down to +26. A Cardinal win away from 3rd in the division.

    The 3rd executive saying a top 10 prospect in the game along with a fringe top 100 guy has lost his damn mind. I can easily see a couple top 100 guys, but the top 10 guys carry so much more value than a guy in the latter part of the top 100. My guess would be something painful like Rojas/Ramirez + Kepley+ Reid. I could see it costing both Rojas and Ramirez and man would that suck.

    We're going to look back at this team in August and wonder how the hell they won 10 in a row not only once, but twice.
