    Guys playing with dislocations, fractures and tears meanwhile he's good enough to be doing sprint drills and yet can't practice. History might prove me wrong, but it just feels like he's a guy who is either 100% healthy or he sidelines himself.

    Jarret is really bland. Also, and I know this isn't Jarret's fault, but can we please go one show without numerous Walter mentions either from the people he interviews, his cohost, etc.

    If anyone believe he's legitimately a corner outfielder I'd say yes, but you have to absolutely torch the minors to be top 20 as a 1B only.

    He's still sporting a 127 wRC+ even with a .204 babip. Unless there's news out there of him having consistently ****** contact quality, I find this as good news more than anything else.

    146 wRC+ at A ball, 144 wRC+ at A+. I wish they'd have given him a couple weeks at AA to really push him.

    What does it cost to bring Holmes back? He'll be 34 for the vast majority of the 2027 season and, while still very good, his 3.21 FIP and 3.58 xFIP don't really align with his 2.09 ERA. Can you get him for like 3/85 or is a 4th year and something like 4/110 necessary? Adding him would make me feel a lot better about the 2027 rotation given the career uncertainty of Ben Brown, the injury uncertainty of Horton and performance uncertainty of Cabrera.

    Unfortunately for us, Seiya is having his best year ever and that means it's highly unlikely they'll be able to bring him back in free agency. Someone is going to give him like 5/125 or 5/150.

    Where the hell did Tristan Peters come from? Dude was looking like AAA roster fodder with an age 24 AAA wRC+ of 95, repeats AAA at age 25 and puts up a 107 wRC+. The Rays DFA him before trading him to the White Sox for cash considerations. He makes the White Sox major league squad this season then has gone on to put up a 130 wRC+, made the all star team and is currently sitting at 3.8 fWAR on pace to break 4.0 fWAR. He'd be the 2nd most valuable offensive player on the Cubs.

    Sure sounds like Gervon Dexter is headed elsewhere. A really odd move for a team with significant defensive issues.

    Still blows my mind they didn't go all in on Skubal. A playoff rotation of Skubal 2.91 ERA, 2.60 FIP, 2.61 xFIP Misiorowski 1.68 ERA, 2.14 FIP, 2.10 xFIP Harrison 2.84 ERA, 3.24 FIP, 3.02 xFIP Henderson 2.60 ERA, 3.33 FIP, 3.24 xFIP Would have been as dominating a rotation as we've seen in the playoffs in a long long time. Also just for fun, Bryce Wilson after the Cubs got rid of him and the Brewers picked him up. 20IP 3.15 ERA 1.94 FIP 2.87 xFIP

    If he was tearing up AAA the way he was tearing up A+ and AA I'd be all for it, but he's hitting his first little snag, still a 101 wRC+, and I'd rather him get a chance to work through it then pushing him to the majors.

    Pedro with the 117 wRC+ is now up to 1.1 fWAR over 171 PAs putting him at a per 600 PAs rate of 3.9 fWAR. Please don't trade him, thanks.

    Crazy that Bregman is up to a 115 wRC+ and 3.7 fWAR(2nd highest on the offense) now. He's more or less on pace to match his 2023 and 2024 seasons despite that horrendous first half.

    Merrill Kelly accusing the Cubs 3B coach of stealing signs and relaying them to the batters. As if that's necessary to hit Kelly this year.

    1 series take. Braxton Jones hold ruins a drive that they were marching down the field effortlessly. Caleb missed a throw on 1st and 20 that would have been a first down and really should have been made.

    Not only did Zeferjahns horsefeathers up and not go to 3rd with no outs, he horsefeathered up again and went to first immediately with 1 out and didn't even check the runner at 3B.
