  1. It must be difficult finding ways to lose on a daily basis. I'll give the Cubs credit for their creativity.
  2. Aramis swings at a pitch that almost hit him in the face. :banghead:
  3. Yeah send Marlon Byrd. Brilliant, freaking brilliant.
  4. So how many threads just popped up in the Cub's universe yelling at Hendry for letting McGehee go?
  5. Shocked that no one scored after having a man on first and third with no outs. Good job Mateo.
  6. Always a fan of scoring a run then giving it right back. I like it even more when they do it a couple of times in one game.
  7. lol boo your best hitter so far this year. He's only hit 3 of the Cub's 5 HR and had an OPS in excess of 1.000 before that at bat. Clearly that's worthy of being booed.
  8. Well Sori has been clutch. Let's hope he still has some left.
  9. Good, not great. I'm actually kind of surprised he had time to get Kosuke. Wrong. It takes a great play to get Starlin Castro out. But Kosuke got out. Mora knew better than to throw to first.
  10. Good, not great. I'm actually kind of surprised he had time to get Kosuke.
  11. If there's one thing about this team that I really love, it's the 1 and 2 punch of Kosuke and Castro.
  12. Grabow's pitching. Yeah, That was something I typed a while back and left in the respond box but didn't send while i was working in another tab. I accidentally sent it when I windowed back.
  13. It's correct to give him an error. If he would have caught the ball, Young would have not been able to advance to 3rd. The ruling is correct. No. It's a bad call. The ball landed right in front of his catcher's mitt while he was in need of performing a sweep tag. Asking a catcher to field that ball cleanly with a catcher's mitt while also trying to make the tag is not an error. You can give Soriano an error for not catching the ball or Castro on the relay or thowing it at all before you can blame the catcher for trying to perform a miracle. Exactly. How Soriano doesn't get an error despite the ball hitting him in the middle of the glove I don't know. Yes, he was up on the wall, but the ball hit him in the glove. 4 years and Soriano is still terrified of that wall.
  14. Soto gets the error? Are you kidding me? This is why errors mean absolutely nothing for an outfielder.
  15. Well that's about the worst swing you'll see Castro take.
  16. The comparisons to Griffey and Arod aren't based on ceilings. They compare him to those two because those are the only two other players who hit .300 or higher in their age 20 seasons in recent history. It's more a testament that Starlin can be a very special player, not that he's going to be a 40 HR masher.
  17. I just can't fathom any reasonable excuse for Reed to hit there. I don't think it could have been anymore obvious that Kosuke should have been the hitter.
  18. Yes please. This isn't a hard thing to figure out.
  19. There's your [expletive] 3 hitter. Quade I am unimpressed.
