  1. If the defense had even slightly shown up, this might be an interesting game.
  2. Nice catch Jones.
  3. Down 21 and 4 runs in a row.
  4. I'd give it 50/50 Dallas has to punt at all today.
  5. QB sneak turns into 25 yard run. This is next tier terrible
  6. This team is laughably terrible. Now let's watch them get ridiculously conservative on offense.
  7. It's the Minnesota game again.
  8. If the WR comes back to the ball at all, he catches that.
  9. Fields flashes of good are starting to grow more consistent and while there's still a lot of bad in there, it's overall a positive. I'm not too worried about the batted ball interception, that is going to happen. I'm more worried about ball security. Fields puts the ball on the ground a lot when he's scrambling in the pocket. With that said, I don't expect a win but it would be nice to a see a competitive game. The offense is going to have its hands full with the Dallas defense.
  10. How can he win when he admitted to cheating years ago and chess.com said he cheated a lot more than that and a lot more recently? His credibility is non existent.
  11. Brisker looks great, Gordon has looked good the last few weeks and Robinson looks good to great as well. Braxton Jones looks overmatched, but given his draft status I'd expect that in years. With 2 muffed punts and his inability to get on the field with a team that has almost no WR talent, Velus Jones is the most disappointing one. Jury is out on Ebner, but he always looks slow to me in his minimal touches.
  12. Kyler Gordon has really flipped a switch the last few weeks.
  13. "Griffin, who he missed in the endzone last Thursday, for 5". Jesus announcers. Can't do anything but love Mac Jones after that shitshow, but let's take every shot at Fields we can.
  14. Nice cleats to the nuts there. Not sure why he threw his leg up like that.
  15. Since we don't have an all purpose thread, what does it take to get Kyle Pitts out of Atlanta? The coach has basically completely ignored his existence using him almost solely as a distraction to get others open. He's sitting at 16 catches for 178 this year after putting up 68 catches and 1026 yards as a rookie.
  16. At the bottom of the letters too. Clearly no bat speed.
  17. I'm actually kind of shocked out how many meatheads on the radio are all about the WSox bringing back Ozzie. It's a meme level terrible idea and yet a seemingly large amount of people are all about it.
  18. Really? This is pretty much exactly what I expect as a Chicago sport's fan.
  19. That looked to be above the belt too, not exactly a prime pitch for a guy with a slow bat to rope back up the middle. Exactly what I was going to say. Seems to me, you'd need a quick bat to square up a a letters high fastball, but what do I know. I mean Law saw him for a full 3 games.
  20. I've been thinking about this for a couple weeks now and I just don't get it.
  21. I'd consider that a success. I think it's more like 24-7.
  22. Why would Abreu get more money than he did 3 years ago? Because I typo'd 45 into 54 and didn't notice it
  23. Please no. Fields is already constantly under pressure, this is only going to make things even worse. Herbert can't block at all.
  24. I can't wait to hear about how great Bailey Zappe is and how bad Justin Fields is for the next 2 weeks.
  25. Boss is out of the office so, let's kill some time. I'm not going to trade Madrigal simply because the return isn't going to be much and I think he's a solid bet to be a 2 to 3fWAR. After July 1st a he put up a 95 wRC+ on a .308 babip while his season numbers were a 70 wRC+ and .286 babip. Conforto 3/48 Cubs acquire Sean Murphy for Thompson, Alcantara and Hernandez(This is probably a prospect light) I'm not convinced he's willing to be a full time DH, but if he is, then Abreu 3/54 Smyly 2/14 Senga 5/75 Correa 8/250 1B: Mervis 2B: Madrigal SS: Hoerner 3B: Correa RF: Suzuki CF: Happ LF: Conforto C: Murphy DH: Abreu I actually quite like this. A lot more pop than the 2022 squad and significant defensive upgrades in Correa/Murphy. SP: Stroman, Senga, Steele, Smyly, Hendricks The staff isn't great but solid and with Killian/Wicks/Wesneski all likely to see innings in 2023 and Sampson a capable fill in, the depth is really good.
