  1. Why wouldn't Buffalo vs Miami be the big game? Indianapolis is terrible and KC is going to destroy them.
  2. Irrational early hot take, but man did missing on Brian Daboll suck. Daniel Jones hasn't been amazing, but he has been competent, Barkley is looking much closer to his old self and they're off to a 2-0 star albeit Tennessee is not looking at all like the team they were supposed to be.
  3. He caters to the meatheads. He's your basic misogynistic, frat boy type always trying to prove how masculine he is 24/7. He's just a miserable horsefeathers who stirs the pot for clicks while providing nothing of any real substance.
  4. Maybe I just haven't noticed it before, but is it common for a team to be really solid with run blocking but hilariously bad with pass blocking? The gap between the two is just huge.
  5. The play calling has been really underwhelming so far. It's absurd to me that going into that last drive, Fields had 9 pass attempts and was 7/9 for 70 yards. The entire point of this season is to find out if Fields is the guy. You don't find that out by basically taking him entirely out of the game. Let him play and if he's going 14/30 for 3 picks then we have the data we need to move on from him, but we learn nothing on 9 pass attempts.
  6. This entire team sucks, Fields included.
  7. 24-7 and still conservative. I can't stand it. Who cares whether they lose by 20 or 40, let's see what they can do.
  8. 1 and15 then 2 runs putting them into 3rd and long. You cannot do that in this offense.
  9. Because he was out of the pocket
  10. I swear Fields gets late hit at least once a game
  11. Over/under 100 passing yards for the game?
  12. 17 passing yards at half. All of it on a broken dump off. Remarkable.
  13. So correct me if I'm wrong, but the Bears have attempted 1 pass beyond 5 yards.
  14. Less than 1 half into the season and I'm 100% over Getsy.
  15. Even with this super weak schedule, I don't know if more than 3 or 4 wins is possible.
  16. Hand off up the gut on 3rd and 9. Nothing has changed at all.
  17. Looks exactly like last year so far.
  18. Thankfully Lance sucks too
  19. This is feeling real familiar. The defense protecting everything within 10 yards and saying beat us long if you can.
  20. Fields looks like hot garbage so far
  21. Admittedly, I've spent very little time following baseball this season so I hadn't realized that the Dodgers are on pace to win 114 games. The Padres, who are 13 games over .500, are 19.5 games back in the division.
  22. I could look very dumb about this, but I think we could see Willson's market fail to materialize. It only takes one team to fall in love or have money burn a hole in their pocket, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he doesn't beat Grandal(4/73) in years or dollars. It certainly seems like the lack of a trade market means the industry as a whole aren't super enthused with Contreras. I'd happily take him back if he falls to the 3/60 or 4/75 range.
  23. I'm hoping it players I wont care about, but it's inevitably going to be someone important and I'll just become more disillusioned.
  24. Fun with numbers that mean basically nothing because of sample size, but since Franmil joined the Cubs 30 PA .367/.367/.733 line good for a .465 wOBA and 201 wRC+ It would help this team out so much if they cold turn him into something like a 130 wRC+ DH. Last I saw the league average for a DH was 107 wRC+.
  25. I'd say that those lost pitchers were nearly mitigated by having Steele and Thompson pitch way above any realistic expectations. Add in 53.1 innings of 3.88 ERA from a guy who was supposed to be a AAA wash out in Sampson and if anything I'd say they've gotten pretty lucky
