  1. Good god, how busted is Brailyn that he was not only cut, but able to be resigned?
  2. Murphy put up 5.1fwar to Jansen's 2.6 and comes with an extra year of control. It's not that close.
  3. Stop trying to raise my expectations, stupid Cobs.
  4. That'll work. If the goal is a 70-75 win team, then I think that'll do nicely.
  5. If Leatherwood is a thing, that's pretty huge. Nice 37.5 on the pass blocking for Mustipher.
  6. Must be nice to be a big market team and act like a big market team
  7. The play calling was just so drastically different in the 2nd half. They were driving at will in the 1st half, then suddenly in the 2nd half they change things and can't move the ball. If that's not intentional, then I'm very concerned about our OC's ability to help this become a winning team.
  8. I mean he's really good, but why? William Contreras is on the verge of being a top tier catcher.
  9. Denver blowing that game really hurts.
  10. That was one of the most obvious tank jobs I've ever seen.
  11. Tank mode in full effect
  12. This play calling in the 2nd half...
  13. Ok enough with the quick outs to Claypool.
  14. Not sure why they keep throwing. I don't think the Bears could stop 3 runs.
  15. Scratch that, apparently his knee tendons are made of rubber. No idea how he's moving around like nothing happened.
  16. Trevor Lawrence likely suffered a major knee injury. It's almost like being a pocket passer can get you hurt too.
  17. When a guy has to hold a .350 babip to post a 115 and 116 wRC+ and isn't a plus runner, I get very nervous. Fangraphs also had his defensive value take a huge jump last year which is more likely statistical noise than reality.
  18. In a perfect world you trade back only a couple spots so one of Carter/Anderson is still there. To move anything beyond that would take a significant haul, as in a couple 1sts and a couple early day 2 picks for me to even consider it.
  19. Frankly I'm just amazed at how many competitive games they've played considering the dumpster fire of talent on both sides of the ball. I knew it was bad, but yesterday really cemented the fact that, if not for Fields, this is pretty easily the worst team in football.
  20. I'm so torn about the GB game next week. I hate Rodgers and I want the Bears to bury him, but a meaningless win could cost them 7 or 8 spots in the draft. I'm hoping Fields doesn't play so I can tilt toward favoring a loss.
  21. Clearly Fields that was holding this team back.
  22. Worst defense in franchise history?
  23. Locking up that top 3 pick, but seriously he's one of only a few they couldn't afford to get hurt. It sucks.
