  1. I honest to god hate this team. Especially, their "architect".
  2. We had to turn down Adam Dunn and his 50 hr power. jfc.
  3. Oh my Derek Bell. Mr. Operation Shutdown.
  4. He's been booed there already. You seriously think he or anyone else on this team is likely to do anything like singlehandedly leave 10 guys on base again? He's not too likely to have too many 0-6 games, especially ones where that happens. Agreed. Bradley will hit. Dude just needs to stay healthy.
  5. DFA Miles and Freel. Problem solved.
  6. DLee has been one of the few guys on this team who doesn't make me want to throw a hammer right through my tv. He has done a really good job and it's encouraging to see.
  7. With the exception of about 5 people, I want to punch every Cub player and employee in the face.
  8. Good to great starting pitching. Really goes to show you how we'd be if we only had an average offense. Frustrating. Yep, truly infuriating. But at least we're more left-handed!!!!
  9. I've thought the same thing. Maybe they're waiting around for Hendry to give them some help. I'm guessing they are also sick to death of 2nd and 3rd base being total and complete black holes of suck. Good thing that cancer DeRosa is no longer on the team. Milton Bradley has been a godsend.
  10. Dempster has nothing. Good for him. He fooled Jim Hendry into thinking he was a good pitcher.
  11. It feels like the bottom half of our order has been comprised completely of minor league scrubs all year.
  12. What is everyone's obsession with Khalil Greene? He sucks. Except for 2007, he's always sucked, and he will continue to suck for as long as he plays baseball. We have enough sucky players on this team. We don't need any more. He's decent defensively, but do we need another guy who can't hit? Would it help if I put it in green font? I know you're kidding, but theres something about him and Bobby Crosby that everyone thinks their team can bring them back to their glory, which was 1 productive season. wrong Correct. Bobby Crosby has never had a productive season.
  13. [/quoote] SOS to Aram......... Come. Back. Soon.
  14. Is it normal for pitchers who only miss 2 starts to do a rehab start in the minors? I honestly have no idea.
  15. Does anyone have a link to the fake Larussa's Twitter? I want to read some more of those posts, they look hilarious!
  16. 'Nuff said. We seem to have trouble identifying which relievers can pitch, and which can't. We give away solid bullpen arms routinely, and we usually get absolutely nothing for them. Then we sit around and cry about having a crappy bullpen. Imagine where we'd be if our bullpen consisted of guys like Marmol, Wuertz, Juan Cruz, David Weathers, Scott Eyre, etc. The list goes on and on. I'm not even gonna complain about Kerry Wood, because we've given away some good pitchers (who were not expensive) as if they were charity donations. EDIT: And not to mention the fact that for YEARS our front office and manager thought that Neal Cotts was better than those guys, despite there being ZERO statistical evidence to support it. Agreed. I've gone back and forth on what decision made over the offseason was the worst (and let's be honest, they all were pretty much terrible), but I have to say the flurry of bullpen moves was absolutely awful and are hurting this team more than anything else. What a spectacular, soul-crushing failure by the Cubs front office.
  17. I don't care if his name does come up. Bonds should be in the HOF. So should Clemens and McGwire and Sosa. We need to stop acting like sniveling children in denial and treating this game like it's some kind of pure institution that was tainted by steroids in the 90's and early 00's. This.
  18. I want to read more of the comments.
  19. I'm not watching, what happened to Cliff Flo....er, I mean Milton Bradley?
  20. Do Cubs fans really have room to laugh at another team's bullpen? Normally, no. But those runs were scored by the Pirates.
