Why? He was available for free last month and nobody wanted him. I know he's had a good month, but I doubt that's rebuilt his trade value to the point where somebody is taking on his contract and giving something of value. Boom Adam Warren. Not going for the gotcha but thinking/hoping this will go down as another shrewd trade for hoyerstein.

I think lackey is a douche too but I think the fact that we have Lester and Ross softens it a bit. I think it'll make it easier to connect locker room wise to the young guys. Hopefully he pitches like he did last year (or close to it).

I know AZCubs guy gets abuse for really being a Cardinals fan. But in the time I've been paying attention, BanktoBanks also seems like a candidate for a long-term troll. I'm sure he likes some stuff about the Cubs, but I just don't think I've ever read any of it. He's a Cubs fan, he just hates Theo. Gotcha. So before he was hired was Banks a pretty normal fan who would actually say good things about the team or was he always more on the side of negativity? And is this why people often talk about Hendry with him, because he was pro-Hendry? He defends Hendry and has mockingly called Theo "Boy Genius" Is it Nick Vlahos? :hello:

i like 33anda3rd a lot Yeah, he's a good one. My least favorite is probably Cronos, because he puts on airs, but is just a jackass. But compared to boards like Cards Talk, GRB is a pretty civilized place. i liked where the one guy listed all the elite players the cardinals had and then he basically told him none of them would start on the cubs. that guy did not like that. edit - here we go http://gatewayredbirds.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=57459&hilit=baez&start=860#p1619816 Grichuck over Fowler? I'd rather have Fowler. That being said I think this is a huge offseason for the cardinals. They have some good young talent but need to keep heyward and add a good bat. Will they spend the cash?
