i am going to predict that michigan state does what they always do, start out good, lose a game to a good team that they should've won, then go in the toilet. this would be an interesting debate ... which school should get the copyright on starting out great losing a game they should win and then tanking; Purdue or MSU. purdue starts out great because they play lousy teams out of conference and always seem to get one or two big ten cream puffs early on too. so they're like 5-0 or 5-1 and people think they're good, then they start playing teams that are more talented than them - usually michigan, ohio state, penn state, wisconsin - and start losing. for quite a while, purdue is pretty much what penn state has been the last couple of years - they win the games they're supposed to win, and they lose the ones they're supposed to lose. except for that one game that Penn State should have lost but a betting ref decided he needed to let them win ... no I will never let this die I watched the game and said at the time one of the ref's must have bet on the game. Seriously how do you run the clock when someone ctahces the ball and walks out of bounds with no one within 10 yards of him. I think you guys are missing the core fact here. They are Big Ten refs and they suck. Every school has suffered their wrath at least once. The Big Ten needs to implement a system to better monitor the refs because officiating in both major sports has been a travesty for the last decade at least.
