  1. Chester is going to be a great coach some day. I would love to have him on the Illinois bench. I think Kramer may have a future in coaching as well.
  2. Frazier 5.9ppg, 6.5apg, 4.7rpg, 1.4spg Kramer 3.7ppg, 2.7apg, 2.9rpg, 2.2spg Kramer is averaging less minutes and is a better defender, but Chester is great on defense and makes the offense run. In terms of his value to the team he is pretty much not replaceable. I hope that he is on the Illinois bench one day.
  3. kramer's still better. And he is, but that's besides the point yeah, not so much. in what way is Chester Frazier a better player than Kramer? Are you seriously going to try to argue about this? Rebounding and distributing the ball. Chester is also a great leader. I like Kramer's d better though. We have already had this argument at least once this year.
  4. kramer's still better. And he is, but that's besides the point I'd just like to point out that Chester has been playing hurt for four years. I don't think he has ever been 100% healthy for any game. He is a warrior and I am glad the fan base is finally embracing him. I really like Kramer's game also, what is the latest on his injury, Purdue is not the same without him. I also read that Hummel is banged up, anyone have news on that?
  5. I don't know about have to, as a split was about as well as could be expected in the first week, but the only way Illinois gets some kind of national respect is if they win Sunday. Time to get greedy. This team could be special, they are playing really well.
  6. I don't think Illinois wins that game with Kramer on the floor for Purdue at the end of the game. That said we just beat a top ten team on the road, got a signature win, and now I am going to go get intoxicated to celebrate. ILL
  7. I think Purdue must have learned Bo Ryan's amazing no foul defense. This free throw differential is a joke.
  8. Couldn't Resist, love the look on Gene's face.
  9. I think Illinois did a great job setting up it's non conference schedule. If you asked any Illini fan at the beginning of the season if they thought we would only have one loss at this point I think the answer would have been a resounding no. Jay Price set up a schedule that would offer challenges and opportunities to learn. I don't think many expected to see us get a win at Vandy, or blowout Mizzou and Georgia on neutral courts. Illinois also beat two decent programs (Kent St. and Tulsa) in South Padre. While the schedule wasn't as hard as Purdue or Michigan or MSU it was appropriate for Illinois as they will need to have a high win total to make the dance. Looking forward to the game tonight, Go Illini!
  10. Well me and my buddy tried to make it to St. Louis but we spun out and ended up in a ditch on I-39. At that point I decided we were pressing our luck and we retraced our 60 miles back home. Crappy day but still looking forward to watching the game in good health. I-L-L
  11. Can't wait for this game, I've got second row floor seats. It's my first BR game, and it should be competitive as always. If Mizzou doesn't get us this year, it could be a long long time until they do.
  12. I am really surprised to see Ed Hightower officiating the Illinois game. I guess he didn't want one of the high profile games today.
  13. My buddy is a manager for the team, and he told me that Legion has not looked to good on defense in practice. We knew Legion wasn't great on defense when we got him, but poor defense is the quickest way to get yourself benched by Bruce. Getting Legion on the court is going to be huge at the end of a shot clock, and it will also send Meach to the bench where I believe he can be much more effective in Big Ten play.
  14. If U of I can take care of Mizzou and Georgia then I think we have the out of conference wins that the committee will look for. I am still not sure where we end up in the Big 10 though, if we can start the Big 10 3-1 going into the run of @MSU, OSU, Wisconsin then I think we have a real shot at getting above .500 in the conference. The game at Crisler will be a major key to our season IMO. As for Gordon, that is in the past now and there are much better things on the horizon for this program.
  15. I agree. Michigan State has been pretty bad although they are playing without Suton which is kind of big. Purdue lost two games though to two very good teams. I agree though U of I has impressed me so far along with Penn State. I thought Wisconsin would be decent along with Ohio State. Even Northwestern is looking decent, but My god IU is bad. MSU will come around when it matters. Izzo's teams always improve as the year goes on. Roe is not at full strength and they are missing Suton so they will get better. Purdue has one big game left against Davidson. It's disappointing that they couldn't get it done against either OU or Duke, but I think they will start to turn it on in Big Ten play. However, I think with the Big Ten being down both those losses will hurt their seeding come tourney time. That said I wish that Gordon hadn't screwed us, and that E'Twuan Moore was wearing Orange and Blue.
  16. Weber always is tough on the most talented, and McCamey has had attitude problems and problems with working hard in practice. His method seemed to work pretty well with Deron. It's not fair to blame Frazier for Weber's coaching philosophy.
  17. It's a good thing that we are shooting so well, because our rebounding needs some work
  18. he hasn't deserved to be embrace yet, though. his game hasn't been good. but as far as doing the other things, he's been golden. I bet if his name was Chris Kramer you would love him, very similar games between the two yet everyone always shits all over Chester. It's not his fault he was put in the situation he was last year, that goes on Bruce and his poor recruiting. wait, are you telling me that i love chris kramer? when have i ever said that? Didn't mean to put words in your mouth. Just saying that the two have very similar games and do similar things for their teams. One receives praise from the schools fans for doing all the little things, while the other gets unfairly crapped all over because he isn't Dee Brown and the talent around him sucked.

  20. Haven't been getting the ball inside near enough this half. Offense is starting to stagnate.
  21. For as much crap as Chet gets from the fans he is actually a nice looking player. He rebounds, plays great D, has good handles, and his shot appears to be improved. Also take a look at his A/TO ratio this year. Chet is an asset to this team, and I think fans will finally embrace him by the end of the season.
  22. We'll be ok. The refs arent calling any loose ball fouls right now, and there have been a lot of them.
  23. The Good News: Mike Davis has 16pts 3 rebounds and 4 assists in the first half and Illinois scored 44 The Bad News: We let up 30 to Jackson St. in the first half. Not a very Weber like defensive performance against an inferior team. Congrats to Mizzou on the win against USC. This year will be my first attending the Bragging Rights Game.
  24. It will never end. After the Gordon debacle things will never be the same. If you don't think an Illini fan can hold a grudge just ask an Iowa fan. Welcome to at least thirty years of hatred and pissing matches. If we ever win a title I think that will fade away too. Indiana took just one player. Iowa tried to railroad our program. By taking that one player, IU did railroad our program. Luckily it appears we have recovered, and they came out of the whole situation with a whole lot of egg on their face. Anyone know when the NCAA ruling is due?
