Turner is going to win BTPOY, but I found some great stats to support McCamey's candidacy. He has accounted for 51% of the Illini's offense in Big Ten Play. He is averaging 9.6 assists over the last seven games. McCamey is averaging 8.1 assists in conference play. He has totaled 114 assists in Big Ten games, 38 more than the next closest assists leader. McCamey is on pace to break the Big Ten single-season assists record of 7.8 apg set by Eric Snow of Michigan State in 1995. I really hope he comes back next year.
Wisconsin is just a glorified Iowa and wasn't a big win unless you're talking about msu. Both those statements are fantastic. You don't beat MSU if Lucas plays. And a team that's made the tourney 12 years in a row (counting this year, as they are a lock) and has had 20+ wins in 7 of 8 years isn't a glorified anything. Wisconsin has 15 tournament appearances, 11 of which are in the last decade, and lacked one from 1947 to 1994. :-k This is why I don't get along well with math.
I'm assuming your comment was sarcastic Derwood, but the 04-05 team averaged 39.2% from three as a team. That's almost 5% above the NCAA average for the 04-05 season.

Wisconsin has been largely irrelevant in basketball until the last decade. Iowa 22 tournament appearances to go along with 6 Big Ten titles (since the inception of the NCAA tourney) and 3 Final Fours. Wisconsin has 15 tournament appearances, 11 of which are in the last decade, and lacked one from 1947 to 1994. Wisconsin has also only won 5 Big Ten titles since the creation of the NCAA tournament. So in a historical sense the Badgers are very irrelevant, because they disappeared for 5 decades. Overall if you look at the objective criteria I think it is clear you are either on par with or a little below Iowa, but no one is arguing the fact that Wisconsin is head and shoulders above Iowa at this moment. Either way this is the golden age of Wisconsin basketball, and you are still only a middle of the road Big Ten program.
1) The game was awesome last night, it was great to see the Hall rocking the way it should be. 2) I don't think I've been that drunk in a long time. 3) All the typical Bruce Weber things that I was expecting to happen did not. We found a way to score at the end of the game, and he did not over coach. D Mac played one of his best games ever, and always shows up big in the big games. 4) The win was huge for our tournament hopes, and was one that I had penciled in as a loss. If we find a way to beat OSU and go 2-2 over this stretch than I think we are golden for the tourney IF we don't slip up at Michigan. 5) I don't care about the court rush, and think it's [expletive] people get their panties in a bunch over this type of thing. Is it overdone? Yes. Should Illinois have stormed the floor? Probably not, but given what we have gone through and the adrenaline of the day I think it is hard to fault the students for getting out on the floor.
Uh, NU shot horribly. 28 of 84 from the floor for 33% and 34% from beyond the arc. Illinois was the team that shot 50%. That was easily one of the worst performances since the beginning of last year. Just terrible. Maybe 2nd only to the game at Minnesota last year. They had no idea how to run the offense and the defense was an open gate. No idea how they stayed in the game. I didn't look at the stats but NU was draining from three in the first half. The aggregate effect of all those three's falling was quite frustrating.
Lucky. NU shot really well, but this game proved that if you pound the ball inside good things will happen. With two teams scoring in the eighties does this mean Big Ten Basketball is exciting again?
This is a joke. In our four losses this season the opposition has shot it's best percentage of the season. Looks like we are headed that way again. I do not understand how Keller continues to get minutes.
I hate Florida and hope they feel compelled to take back Ronald Zook. I hope Urban has a full recovery. I have no clue who they will hire. Should be interesting.
