  1. Vuvuzelas. Those make my ears bleed. http://i.imgur.com/Ap06t.jpg
  2. So do we have to still pay Soriano's contract if he gets struck by lightning?
  3. I'm late to this party, but lets do it Ted. Give me something to be happy about.
  4. So from what I can tell Mizzou is the school that gets screwed in this scenario?
  5. OB is a mouthpiece for the texas AD. Don't believe anything they say about A&M. The horns are worried about us going to the SEC so they are threatening to stop playing us in all sports if we go there. They're nothing more than bullies and we are about to call their bluff. Do what is best for your school and your fans. In my mind the SEC is a lot better fit for A&M because of geography. The money should not be significantly different for A&M in the SEC as opposed to the Pac 10 (16?), and it will be better for Aggie fans. I would think the Aggies have enough pull in the State Legislature to mandate a game between A&M and Texas, but I really have no clue.
  6. So Michigan, OSU, PSU, ND, and who else? Nevermind I forgot Nebraska.
  7. This is beautiful. [expletive] Kansas and Mizzou.
  8. lol KU is a better school than Missouri. Rated higher in almost every rating guide, much larger endowment. If you can live w Missouri, you should be able to live KU from an academic standpoint. I believe Kansas is tied to KSU. So they're screwed. What are KU's academic strengths? Not trying to be an [expletive] I just have no clue.
  9. Olympic mascots never disappoint
  10. Part of it is because these Sayers comments came out of left field. Not to mention Sayers, while he was a great player, never played in the postseason much less win a postseason game, criticizing a team that is 4 years removed from reaching the super bowl. So how would Sayers know what it takes to win? Adding in the fact that it was a member of the Bears family who made these comments, is really stood out. As Urlacher said, the Bears are getting shot at by the media everywhere they go, they don't need to take shot from inside the Bears family. 1. Sayers was asked a question. Is he supposed to lie? Whether he's part of the Bears family or not he was asked to give his opinion. If the Bears improve their on field play then I'm sure Sayers will change his tune quickly. 2. Great the Bears made the Super Bowl four years ago, and haven't done anything since. Four years is an eternity in NFL. 3. The Bears have only made the playoffs three times since Urlacher was drafted. That's really not that impressive.
  11. I'm trying to figure out why Urlacher is so pissed about these comments. Nothing Sayers said was off point. I can understand why Urlacher is irked by the criticism directed at him. He's a proud guy and a fierce competitor, but he missed an entire season due to injury. His performance has been leveling off in recent years, and he may be reaching the end of his shelf life. Sayers's criticism of the team seems to be inline with what most football people think. They need more receivers, the defensive secondary is weak, and Cutler and Urlacher are major question marks going into next year.
  12. Jerrance isn't going anywhere. He is the definition of Illinois Loyalty. I think SIU may be his next destination as a head coach.
  13. Looks pretty meh to me. MSU and Duke appears to be the only marquee matchup. This is kind of disappointing.
  14. Unexpected and great news.
  15. That would be normal reality. For me, I don't understand why you'd want Texas, since no matter what teams are picked the Big 10 is going to be in great shape. Why add another 800 pound gorilla to the conference? It makes basketball more exciting? Texas is the second most populous state in the union. Duh. Yes, I understand why it makes sense from a business perspective. As an Illini fan though, what's in it for you? The Big 10 is looking great whether they add Texas or Pitt, so why pull for the school that ensures you never do anything relevant in football ever again? Because it will bolster our academic standing. Bring more money into a university in desperate need of it, and make for an amazing college basketball conference. The addition of Texas could possibly help Illinois become more competitive in football. If you look at the SEC, kids want to play there because of all of the great teams. That has a trickle down effect to the Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt type of teams in recruiting.

  17. So you'd rather the Big Ten have Texas than Mizzou, Nebraska and Rutgers? Without question Was that a serious question? Sorry, I must've fell asleep and woke up in an alternate reality where Texas is meaningful in something other than football. I can't wait for Missouri's admission to the Big Ten. This way their drubbing of Illinois becomes an annual thing in no danger of going away. Hopefully the switch happens in time for Blaine Gabbert to destroy the conference. Lol. I can't wait to hear Mizzou bitching about being disrespected by the original members of the conference. Hell Iowa's got to be thrilled by this development as they are no longer the back door to the Big 10.
