Nagy likes pass catching RBs which Howard is not but that seems way too much to give up -
I just signed up for The Athletic. $40 for a year. I am impressed. I can cancel within first 7 days but in the two hours I spent reading, it has far exceeded my expectations.

Yes plz It was a done deal right around the time Jersey posted it. I like the trade, little peeved they traded him in the Central, but maybe they got a bigger return because of that.

I would say so. The highlight was when Clemens was going for win #300 and Eric Karros homered off Juan Acevedo to ruin it. Acevedo went to my high school, he graduated several years before me. He ended up coming back to town and was at the bar later that night. People were giving him so much horsefeathers. He did buy a round of Patron for everyone.

Ha, I got tickets to the Red Sox too. I was at work and had 3 computers going with around 50 windows open on each. (Control T?) can't remember. Anyway I got in within 15 seconds on one and bought bleachers for the Friday game that Maddux homered

So $1 per week for the Athletic? I always told myself I would never pay for sports content or any news content. But then I remembered I used to pay 35 cents daily for the Sun Times back in the day and that was garbage.

Kevin Orie Though what's funny is that after all those years of "Every 3B has sucked since Santo" narrative, we've had amazing runs with Aramis and now Bryant. Oh horsefeathers, I forgot we had two dud 3rd basemen prospects in the early 90's

My dad woke me up to break the news to me and I cried like a bitch I was definitely hurling some, "but WHY's?!?" at my dad when he was explaining it to me. I couldn't even process why the Cubs wouldn't pay him whatever he wanted. Similar experience to me. My dad basically said "The Cubs have always been cheap as horsefeathers and always will be"

Wow, just read a few brewerfan.net threads. LOL some of the posts there. Espeically KeithStone. Some level headed posts, but the thread about their Wisconsin only ticket preseale takes the cake. I just can't wait until the September series when they are 20 games back of the Cubs en route to a 77-85 record. -
31 teams But yeah it's hard to tell record wise when a game is decided on a gimmick such as 3-3 hockey or the shootout.

The Brewers are taking a page out of the Nashville Predator playbook. What's next? You can't wear your Cubs jerseys and hats to Miller Park? Second rate city, second rate fan base. All of the series in Milwaukee are weeknights except for the first series, I'm sure brewers PR will deem this campaign a success when the park is only 50/50 Cubs fans -
