    I'm a little curious about the season stats... 17 games, 5 of which were starts, and only 16 innings pitched. I'm guessing the guy gets gassed after an inning then?? Doesn't bode well for your bullpen.

    For the record, I definitely don't hate Castro and with that I will say he goes 3 for 4 with the aforementioned ground out but still gets a double and two singles, driving in two runs. As for the the reason so many seem to dislike him, I put part of the blame on his being fourth in the lineup a lot when I think most all of us could agree that sixth, seventh, or ninth would be much better for him and the team.

    Since Theo took over, when people would ask me, I'd say it would be a few years before the Cubs were good. Then over the past couple years I'd say they should start being competitive in 2015. So naturally, last year I would say "they should be pretty good next year." "LOL! Next year! Typical Cubs fan, you've been saying that every year." So in answer to your question, I'm not lonely, I *choose* to not have friends. My two closest friends are Yankee fans so I've heard crap every year dating back to 1983 when we all became friends. For the past few years I've not said a word about the Cubs as I knew they'd be bad. This year, when I started saying that the Cubs would start to be a better team because of Bryant and company they immediately jumped down my throat and claimed I say that every year and that every year the Cubs don't do anything. As a result, we now have a a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey and a 12 pack of beer riding on which team finishes with a better record this year. Go Cubs! *ETA - First time posting since 2008. Good to be back!

    I'm thrilled that I will be at this game! Go Dogs! I'll have family there but can't make it myself. I'm expecting a tooth and nail game, although I'd personally love a blow out (for the Badgers, of course) I definitely don't see a blowout by either side. I don't know how long you've been a Wisconsin fan, but Fresno State and Wisconsin played each other in 2001 and 2002 at Camp Randall, with Fresno winning in 2001 (a game I had the pleasure of attending) and Wisconsin barely winning in 2002. This Fresno team is better overall than either one of those two teams... although the same can be said for Wisconsin, so this should be a great matchup. All I know is we have to stop Hill and then take it from there.

    I know this is way late, but didnt he do it with one hand, too? Wasn't he the guy with the busted thumb? I've torn that ligament in both hands, and I have no idea how he was able to swing a bat, much less be the best hitter in the finals. Yes, the ligament in his left thumb is completely torn. They described it as "rolling up" his thumb and he will have to undergo ligament replacement, which they supposedly will take from another part of his body.

    And to think I was so disappointed that I turned my DVR off when it was 5-0 Georgia in the top of the third. :doh: Who knew that the simple act of me turning off the recording would be the incentive to propel Fresno to 19 runs!

    Obviously I'm still watching and hoping for the amazing story to play itself out to completion; however, I'm upset because I can't watch the game tonight... stupid law school summer class. :x Go Dogs and not Dawgs!

    I have to admit, I like this guy. It's too bad he isn't a Cub. One look at his bio and you can tell that this guy can definitely swing the bat. (Disclaimer: I post the first link because I think it's a nice story, not to start any type of debate. Some, like me, will like it for what it is, othrs will dismiss it, and that's fine as well.
