We're at 20+ pages with a little less than 4 hours to go. I think we'll see 30, possibly 35 before game time. I really, really, really want the Cubs to push across a run in the first. It'll go a long ways towards keeping me relaxed. Btw, I'm setting the over/under on Ski's first lose it moment in the game thread as the bottom of the 2nd inning. :twisted:

I want to see 20 pages before the game starts and then I want to see another 40 celebratory pages after the Cubs win.

Damn, I'm so anxious. There will be very little sleep tonight and work tomorrow is going to be pointless. Fortunately I've taken off Friday and Tuesday from work (Monday being a holiday) so I'll be able to relax a little once the Cubs win and follow it up with a sweep of the Cards. :beg: :liturgy: :flythew:

7th in the post season rotation. On one hand, I hope it doesn't get to me because I don't want us to lose that many games. On the other hand, if it does actually get to me then it means the Cubs are in the World Series and that would just be one of the best things ever.

Okay so I just joined this board a couple of weeks ago but I had been actively reading threads on this forum since the beginning of this season so obviously I wasn't here last year. I have to say thanks to David for posting this link and to OMC for being so damn epic in that thread. I can't recall the last time I laughed so hard. That made may Friday evening already. a whole paragraph and you couldn't even give me a like??!!? I didn't think machines cared about likes or dislikes.

Is that Cahill looking at Motte's head like he's some kind of alien? Also, it looks like the trainer on his knees is looking to hold back the Cheetah. He's like "Hey Joe, might want to pull your dog back before he loses his nuts" while everyone else stands around saying, "Hey, watch this cheetah eat this dog."

I missed this...can someone lend a brother a hand? I assume he means this? [tweet] [/tweet] Yeah. There was a little more in the article that I read. Talked about where he said they take it to an extreme, that they've always done it even when he was there, and it's possibly their way of discouraging teams from pitching them in.
