I don't think you can, but if he clears waivers without being traded and gets released I think he could be re-signed. TERRIBLE move DFAing him and keeping Patton.
I've tried Five Guys, and they're good. The juiciness reminds me of Wendy's years ago when they were billed as hot and juicy (juicy meats, juicy toppings, and lots of napkins). Char-broiled burgers are generally my favorite, but Five Guys is close.
Unless the Cubs can trade Vizcaino for something of value they in effect gave Marquis away for nothing and are still paying part of his salary. Unacceptable.
They should just have him serve the suspension and be done with it, give him two days rest, and hope he's at full strength by Saturday. The best case scenario is that the suspension would be reduced to one game on appeal (it won't be completely eliminated) and I'd rather have him sit two games when less than healthy anyway than one game when healthy.
My guess is Patton. Vizcaino has been good so far this year. Maybe nobody will claim Patton on waivers and the Cubs can arrange a trade to allow them to keep him and send him down.
Get rid of Gathright and bring up Fox. Gathright isn't getting any playing time because of Reed Johnson, and we need some RH power off the bench. Trade for Patton's rights. Send him down to the minors. Bring up Fox. Patton would have to clear waivers for that to happen.
If the lefty is a guy with not much of a split like Cotts, there isn't much of a difference. well true, but you think they'd want to upgrade with a solid lefty instead of replacing a crappy lefty with a meh righty. Meh is an upgrade from crappy.
BTW, the perfect Hacking Mass team at this point: C--Jason Kendall (15 ESPN) 1B--Big Papi (19) 2B--Alexi Casilla (16) 3B--Adrian Beltre (15) SS--Alexei Ramirez (21) LF--David Murphy or Carlos Guillen (14) CF--Jacoby Ellsbury (14) RF--Brian Giles (23) P--Chien-Ming Wang (60) and Brian Moehler (30) Total--227 The actual leader has 144. Wang is completely lapping the field. He has twice as many points as the next highest score at any position.
Tied for 17th with 90 ESPN. Five of my players are in double digits, led by my pitchers (19 for Suppan and 17 for Zito). My worst performer is Kearns with 0 points; I don't have any negative at the moment.
I have one of my minor leaguers playing in the majors (Schierholz). But with the playing time he's getting (or, rather, not getting) he should remain minor league eligible for quite some time (at his current pace, all year).
Yeah, you definitely can't afford to have Volquez blow up like Wang. With that being said, Vasquez still needs to throw a gem. Your V--quez outpitched my V--quez, but not by nearly enough for you to overcome your deficit.
