  1. There's already a college baseball thread in the June Amateur Draft forum.

    Week 7

Then Lidge gave the game away to the Yankees in the 9th.

    Week 7

I may have found a sleeper in J.A. Happ. The Phillies just promoted him to the rotation to replace Chan Ho Suck. In his first start he pitched 6 innings against the Yankees and put up 17 points (I had him reserved because I was a bit gun-shy about using him this time when his first start of the year was against the Yankees on the road). And he still has all three exemptions remaining. Don't worry, be Happ-y. :D
  4. Absolutely not. Fox cannot play third, period.
  5. It would be beyond crazy; it would be totally stupid. If Hendry were to do it he should be shot first and fired later. You don't even THINK about jumping a player all the way from low A to the majors.
  6. My wild card (Snider) just got sent down to the minor leagues. Oops.
  7. We need to amend the guidelines and make suggesting Fox at 3B a bannable offense. :D
  8. Third, absolutely not. DH, I'd go for that.
  9. Ah, silly me for thinking we were talking about Milton Bradley. My bad. :D

Volquez is now on the 15-day DL. McGowan was getting lonely.
  11. Yes, for part of 2003 and all of 2004.
  12. In what parallel universe are the Angels in the NL?

    Week 7

Since Volquez will miss his start this week because of a back injury I picked up Piniero and put him in my lineup to replace Volquez to get my 7 starts. I dropped Troy Percival to make room on my roster for Piniero.
  14. I remember Burger Chef. They had what I thought was the best bacon cheeseburger. They got bought out by Hardees.
  15. I watch Survivor and Amazing Race regularly. I watched American Idol for the first time this season. I watched the first couple years of The Apprentice and have watched a few defunct shows (American Inventor, On The Lot, and Grease: You're The One That I Want). I have not participated in voting.
  16. I always thought it was 90 too. That's essentially half the season (more than half of the part of the season with the 25-man roster limit).
  17. Yes; John's the one who died.

I'm fairly sure you are right.
  19. I watch Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, Major League, Eight Men Out, and A League Of Their Own during the week before Opening Day every year (my ritual for getting ready for the season). Major League just came out in Blu-Ray within the past week or two. I don't think any of the others are in Blu-Ray yet.
  20. And then there was the sweetness of Armando Galarraga. My only two-start pitcher of the week, and both starts were negative.
  21. My stupidity actually worked to my advantage. Cook had a double-digit negative outing, so having him on my bench was good (although not nearly enough to salvage this week).
  22. Mr. Marmol, please report to the 9th inning. EDIT: E.J.'s idea is even better. But I put the odds of that actually happening at approximately 0%.
  23. Definitely not my week. Only five pitching starts, losing one (Lohse) due to a rainout wiping out his start after the game began and losing another (Cook) because I was stupid and forgot to make him active. Not to mention negative 21.5 points from the Cubs' worthless obviously-soon-to-be-ex closer.
