Yea. Fields fell in the draft and it's crazy because most years, a QB like him would be the #1 pick. This year, I liked him better then both Lance and Wilson. -

I'm actually a little shocked they only gave up 1 1st rd pick for Fields. Sure, there where other latter picks, but 1 high round pick (next years, they just swapped this years) to draft a QB many thought could have been an easy #2 (after the best QB prospect in what, 10 years?)

um, its just a 6th round draft pick also considering how bad the bears are at getting a competent QB, they should try just about any avenue available to them So you would have traded for Teddy in addition to the Dalton signing? What is the biggest reservation people have with Fields? I've read something about how he went to his first option like 85% of the time last season or something so there were questions about his ability to go through progressions in the NFL when the defenses are faster and the first option isn't always open like at OSU, but that's about it. Athleticism, arm strength, accruacy all see 90+ percentile. There is discussion about social biases in place and its a fair discussion but anything else from a pure football standpoint that is giving these teams pause? After Trubisky, the red flag around the ability to quickly go through progressions must be the reddest of red flags for the Bears and especially Pace, no? So, given this, I guess the question is he capable of learning what Mitch never could? just because OSU's first read was open 85% of the time doesnt mean Fields cant read the coverage. He may be untested, but to write him off seems unfounded maybe
