  1. Jesus Christ are you guys all dense? Like I ALREADY said that affects it. However he is not the only on in this situation. He is however the only one with this many picks meaning he is not doing well. Open your eyes and read what I am writing rather than jumping all over a statement that is fact. He leads the league in INT's and is not the only one with a bad o-line and running game. He is forcing way too much. It's not hard to see ... unless you have blinders on. One more and you're banned. Are you kidding me? I'm not trolling by any stretch of the imagination nor breaking any rules. I have an opinion that some disagree with, and some have agreed with as well. That is not banable. It is the whole point of a message board.

  3. I just want to go on record with this. The 49ers are setting themselves for what has happened in every one of their losses except Houston and Atlanta. They lead the whole game and the defense dominates but the offense doesn't get points on the board so when the defense makes one bad play the other team gets a score late and end up winning.
  4. YES IT DOES! Jesus, man. I'm not even a Bears fan, but come on. Yes, Cutler has made some poor throws. However, when you have a godawful O-line there are men in the backfield far more often. Which means the QB has to rush his throws to avoid the sack. Which lead to....you guessed it... INTERCEPTIONS. It's not that complicated of a formula. Plus, add on top of that, that the bears have showed very poor ability to run the ball. Which means that defenses can sit back and expect the pass. What is so complicated about this formula. I understand that fully well however it doesn't mean you throw more interceptions than EVERYONE ELSE. You missed the key part. Sure it means the defense will have an easier time getting picks but it doesn't mean he leads the league in INT's. He is not the only QB with a bad o-line and run game.
  5. Nevermind. Must have just been a stinger.
  6. That's not a fair comparison and you know it. Orton has better receivers and a better o-line. Cutler has a pretty mediocre group of WR's playing pretty well. Yes, he's made his share of mistakes, but the fact remains. I don't disagree with what you wrote but it has nothing to do with what I said. I said Orton is better than what you guys thought when he was traded and Cutler is worse. I'm with you guys on the latter. I thought Cutler was great and sided with him on the whole debacle of an offseason for Denver (why be somewhere you're not wanted). However he is proving to be a gunslinger who never learned to not force it all the time because he got away with it with the WR's he had in Denver. He is still a very good QB but unless he adjusts isn't the great pre-annual pro bowler most thought he was (and Orton is the scrub most thought). Jesus Christ. The O-Line is terrible and there's no running game. Stop underestimating what kind of impact that has on a passing game. Stop ignoring how many INT's Cutler is throwing. A bad o-line and run game doesn't mean you throw more picks than anyone else in the league. He hasn't learned to throw it away or take the sack instead of forcing it and getting a turnover. That is one of the most important things to learn. And as I write he does it again.
  7. God this offense is woeful. Three INT's by opposing QB and one scoring drive? Smith seems to always get 8-9 of the 10 yards. He is 14 of 19 and Gore hasn't been horrible but yet we can't move the ball.

  9. No. Just not the case. Cutler is playing poorly today, for sure, as well as against GB, but generally the problem is the line. Cutler won two games Kyle wouldn't have, but lost two Kyle wouldn't have. Hard to say that with Kyle's last outing, isn't it? Whatever do you mean, Orton doesn't make mistakes, he's a game manager, he just knows how to win. Despite any evidence to the contrary. Man you guys are bad. He has a bad game and you guys are foaming at the mouth. Get over it. Orton is as bad as people thought and Cutler isn't as good. That's not to say Cutler and Orton are equally good but stop trashing Orton every chance you get and stop talking up Cutler when he is obviously struggling mightily.
  10. really dude? I'm not allowed to be happy for my team? WTF? When the Bears score there are going to be 10 posts with essentially the same thing. Maybe the thread titles each week should be The Bears Thread: Where only posts from Bears fans are allowed. Pretend that is the title. If that's what you want than go to a Bears message board not a Cubs one.

Maybe the thread titles each week should be The Bears Thread: Where only posts from Bears fans are allowed. You've been around long enough to realize that this is a Bears-dominated board. You're stirring the pot for no reason. I'm not stirring the pot. I'm simply happy my team scored.

  13. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
  14. Whoever is the NFLN play-by-play guy is he sucks. One of those depressing announcers who never sounds exciting and makes the whole game sound dull.
  15. He has a really bad problem with red zone interceptions. He needs to stop forcing it.
  16. ESPN is saying Crabtree replaced Bruce in the starting lineup. Too bad Crabtree has started each week he has played and Bruce actually didn't start last game. Josh Morgan did and by half time Bruce was pushed down to 4th behind Hill.
  17. Except for you know the whole being flexible to stretch and make the catch. He catches the things that he can reach but he doesn't save bad throws.
  18. I wasn't criticizing how little he was scoring because I know he's not shooting much, however, he still is shooting just 37%. He has looked promising (especially as a passer like you pointed out) but he hasn't been great so far. Anyways speaking of rookies Stephen Curry looks like he will be a great PG. Shooting very well and averaging almost 6 assists to just 2 turnovers.
  19. I'd rather have the former. Kerr made over $16 million in his career according to Basketball-Reference and parlayed that career into a job I think most of us would love to have (or at least attempt). He did it while playing with the greatest player ever, on one of the greatest teams ever, and yet with no real outside pressure (media, fans). He made a title-winning shot on one of MJ's most famous plays, when MJ told Kerr he was going to him if MJ got doubled in advance. He even had a throwback game in the '03 Finals, hitting a bunch of threes to help SA get a title in his last year. Granted, I'm also factoring in things like "I'd be able to live a relatively normal life because I wouldn't be constantly surrounded by fans" and things like that, but I'd much rather make 16M and win a bunch of titles than make five times that (and really, how much can you spend?) and never win anything, even if it means I'm not as famous. Did you read the ESPN the Mag Player X thing this week. He talked about how easy it is to go through it. You owe so many people for helping you achieve your dream so you have massive payrolls. Plus all the agents and managers have to be paid.
  20. Oh and there have been HOFers asked after they retired (not in the heat of the moment) if they would trade all their individual accolades for one ring and said no. Barkley has said that on many occasions and he's one of the most famous as well as best players to not win one.
  21. Your first example is pointless. Every player wants to win one the same as every player wants to be great. There's a difference between being starter on a championship team and the 7th or 8th guy who only plays to take a couple 3's and hit FT"s late. A lot of guys leave teams they have won championships on so they can start elsewhere. A lot of starters do it too (Ariza comes to mind). Finally Robert Horry isn't the same as Kerr. Horry was a starter for half of his career, on great teams no less, Kerr was never a starter. Horry's career average minutes played is Kerr's career high. He got regular playing time throughout a large majority of his career and got to win championships at the same time. Kerr was a bench warmer his entire career. Again I think most player's given the choice of rarely playing but being on a championship team and being an all-star but not winning a championship would take the latter.
  22. I would like to reiterate Carl Landry's 6th man chances. Through tonight's game he is averaging 15.6 pts, 5.4 rbs and 1 blk per game while shooting 57.6%.
  23. Maybe, but if Taj Gibson turns out to be a Horace Grant type player for the Bulls, then I'm pleased with the deal. I'm glad he's doing good for you guys, but I'm not nor the Bulls losing any sleep over trading Thabo. You guys just have to hope that he isn't Trenton Hassell part 2. he'll only be a starter for this year and maybe next year, after that harden is going to take over. Harden has looked really good so far. His downfall was supposed to be on the defensive end but so far i haven't seen anything but good defense from him. also, harden just hit a half-court shot. So far this game? I hope you're not talking for the year because 5 pts and 3 assists on 35% shooting is by no means "looked rally good so far." I think he's going to be good but he hasn't been able to hit his shot so far. No, i'm saying that he looks really good so far because he is leading the NBA in assists to turnovers at 7 to 1. He is leading that stat by over 2 points. He is also 20th in the league in Assists per 48 minutes. This is coming from a backup who plays 15 minutes a game. I'd say that's pretty good. Sure he's doing some things that look good but overall he hasn't played very well. Both those stats are good but both are helped by the amount he plays. A lot of none star guys are amongst the best in per 48 because they never have to play tired and mostly play against the other teams back ups. Joel Przybilla leads the league in rebounds per 48, DJ Mbenga is 7th in rebounds, Goran Dragic is 9th in assists, Sebastian Telfair (yeah him) is 13th in assists. Like I said Harden has shown some promise (what do you expect of a top pick) but his start is very far off from "looked really good so far." He has not turned the ball over and been a pretty good passer that's it. The rest of his offensive game has been terrible. As for defense I haven't seen enough to know.
