  1. John Wall is very, very good (if he is allowed to play). It's not just a matter of who returns but who else you add. I agree and that is why they should go from unranked and barely a .500 team to ranked in the 15-20 range. To me the top 5 is reserved for the teams who played close or at that level the year before and return a lot. The top 5 is not for a team that has been mediocre for years now and get a great recruit who no one really knows how good he will be because he has yet to play. They are top 5 simply because they have been talked about all off-season.
  2. I'm a little lost on Kentucky and Texas. How can they be unranked and 23rd respectively to end last year and then debut in the top 5 when there are teams behind them that return practically everyone? I don't understand that. If a team that finishes last season ranked 15 and returns everyone of importance plus has a good recruiting class how can they be behind a team that finished ranked below them? Kentucky is the one that bothers me most. They didn't even make the tourny last year nor win the NIT and yet they are top 5? Goes to show you how stupid the media is.
  3. WOw Durant looks a lot older in that pick. No longer a baby faced teenage looking kid.
  4. You think Damien Wilkins is a who? You may have heard of his dad, Dominique AKA The human highlight reel. Damien is Dom's nephew, btw. Gerald Wilkins is Damien's father. try again No thank you. I usually don't "try again" when I right. Want to try again on that last post lol
  5. Aaron Brooks looking like the real deal.

  7. agreed. He's one of those "perfect for college, doubtful for the pros" kind of players. He has a motor, he can shoot from mid court, but he's small (6 foot in shoes) and would have trouble defensively at the next level. He's a guy you love on your team in college though, especially in a program like PSU where his shot-making ability equals several more wins. ESPNU has the 2009 Freshmen rankings, with Tim Frazier being the #16 PG in the country and Jermaine Marshall being the #26 SF. Looks like DeChellis is improving the quality of players. They also have a (2010) home-town commit from SG Tran Buie, who is the #24 SG (per ESPNU). He picked PSU over Pitt, Maryland, GT and ND he actually transferred to state college h.s. from a school near albany... he's talor battle's half brother and he's supposed to be terrific. chances are, even if battle plays well enough to be a late first round pick in 2010, he'll stay for his senior year so that he and taran can play together for a year. I don't think he will ever be able to get to 1st round. Right now I would say if he plays his butt off he would make it to the first 10 picks in the second. A guy his size just won't be taken in the first round in the NBA.
  8. When do you go back to the Thunder avatar?

Battle is better passers, while Deane was a bit better at stealing and defense but they both are Allen Iverson types (not saying they are actually as good as AI).
  10. I don't understand why they won't just go end of season standings 1-11 every year. Yeah, with roster turnover, the matchups won't always be fair, but the seemingly random draw they do now doesn't create fair matchups either. At least have some sense behind them. MSU vs UNC IL vs WAKE PU vs DUKE WIS vs FSU OSU vs CLEM PSU vs BC UM vs MD MN vs VT NU vs MIAMI IA vs NCSU IU vs VA makes a lot more sense pretty much across the board. The reason is both conferences agreed that they didn't want to have the risk of their top teams all losing. Imagine if the top 3 or 4 ACC teams all lost. For the rest of the season the ACC teams, no matter how much they win after that, would be discredited when compared to Big Ten teams. It could potentially hurt their seeds across the board. Why risk it when you can have one or two big games and the rest be matchups where some of the top teams in each conference get a definite win?
  11. Unless he dominates and gets POTY and figures his stock can't get any higher I don't see him coming out.
  12. Exactly. All the top teams have key players who get hurt a lot. VC is one of the least hurt among them. He has played in at least 73 games in every year starting in 03-04. Garnett has been banged up more and more every year and his performance has declined along with it. Shaq has never been a healthy guy even going back to his last year in Orlando. Duncan and Ginobli are has injury prone as any star not named Arenas. The only team without major injury issues is L.A. but they still have Bynum to worry about as well as whether or not Artest will be OK with playing third fiddle in the offense and mainly just be a defender. I think Ron will be fine because I think the Lakers will be a 55-60 win team and he really wants to win a championship and knows that he can't go nuts if he wants a chance at it. I'm more worried about how he'll act after he gets a title (if the Lakers do win another one) or if the Lakers don't win one in the next two or three years since he's on a five-year deal. I agree but it is still a concern just as the injuries are to star players.
  13. This was my reaction. The ad would have almost definitely gone unanswered. Plus there are plenty of actual prostitutes on craigslist that they should be spending their time busting.

  15. To a lesser extent Magic? Don't see how you can say that. They are easily among the group you listed first.
  16. That's all I have ever used. I never go to forum index.
  17. Guess who leads the league in receiving touchdowns.
  18. You could be talking about either the Giants or the Panthers here. :D Except only one was playing at the time and there has only been one Steve Smith actually doing stuff in games this season.
  19. Need Steve Smith to start getting some catches.
  20. Pretty sure this qualifies as a late hit on the QB. Game ended over an hour ago, haha. Ha, my bad. After reading the Bears v. Bengals thread I wanted some meatballs.. no joke. Gonna update those standings in your signature? Yes! I always forget till next week but sure is nice to put a loss for the Vikings AND Bears. Didn't get to see the game, How did Crabtree look? I didn't get to watch it either. Had the Pitt/Minn game. From what I've read he was very impressive and made very few errors even on blocking and the none catching duties. Mike Sando said he was by far the best receiver on the 49ers.
  21. wtf? meant this offseason

  23. Maybe you guys can trade for Henne. Actually you guys could just draft Clausen with your first round pick ... oh wait
  24. It's all those Big Papi jerseys in the concrete.
