  1. Yeah cause he's always missed a full season. He's played in a majority of games in every season and played 77 games before missing this entire season. Will he ever be as healthy as he was in his first three seasons, probably not but it's moronic to say that his missing the season didn't play a role in the Rockets only winning 42 games this season. Oh and the 42 wins I consider a huge victory. Brooks proved to be the real deal, Martin is a good player that got Ariza to realize he isn't ever going to be more than a defensive stopper who can shoot 3-pters, Scola stepped up huge at the end of the season, Budinger proved to be a very undervalued player in last year's draft and Hill has good potential to be a good rebounder off the bench. All this sets us up to be very good next season (assuming we re-sign Scola) when we add Yao, a lottery pick and likely some 2nd round steal that we get every year with Morey.
  2. :yahoo: hehehe
  3. Grabow committed the error and thus rightfully is to blame for another bad outing. Shark shouldn't have been left in for another inning but the fact of the matter is our bullpen is given up a run in all four innings pitched in this game so yes they deserve the blame for the loss. Way to completely miss the [expletive] point. Way to not make your point. Your post is calling out people for saying the bullpen is hopeless and sucked today. I pointed out how all of that is indeed true. So what was your posts point? I'm sure it's a great point. My point is that the "bullpen is hopeless" crap is just that and it's reflective of the same moronic, defeatist mentality that Lou is managing it with. Leaving Shark out there as long as he did is inexcusable. Has Grabow been pretty [expletive] far from ideal? Of course, but to act like the 8th was indicative of more "bullpen implosion" as opposed to garbage hits and defensive miscues is stupid. The "bullpen" didn't suck today in terms of proving that the "bullpen is hopeless." Shark sucked and Lou's management of it sucked. It's pissing me off because every dumb "woe is us" summation of the bullpen as a whole I see here seems to be the same mentality that Lou is using to manage it. Grabow sucked. Sure there was a fluke hit but the error was his. Shark sucked. Marshall allowed a run in his only inning. So yes the bullpen sucked big donkey balls today. Shark wasn't the only one and Grabow wasn't just unlucky.
  4. I'm quite happy the Rockets didn't make the playoffs. I've had two years in a row with our best player/s not healthy for the playoffs and thus no real shot at a championship. I'm not so desperate for the playoffs that I would root for the 8th seed just so I can say my team made the playoffs at the cost of the lottery. Oh and 42-40 in the Western Conference >>>>>>>>>> 41-41 in the Leastern Conference. Can you not talk about your team in the Playoff thread, I don't wanna get confused. Don't we have a non playoff team thread? Wasn't the one that brought it up but feel free to keep being a prick.

  6. A-Cal still wants to take him behind the woodshed but for different reasons.
  7. Hill is the only bench bat left I believe so Tracy is the best option.
  8. Yeah he injured his wrist. Looked real bad.

  10. Grabow with a good no earned run outing. Seems a good time to mention my absolute disdain for pitchers having unearned runs when they are the ones who committed the error.
  11. Agreed but seriously stop using this joke. It is said two times every time he makes an appearance. Just stop. We get it and we all agree.
  12. Shark is the worst. Russell deserves more opportunities. He is the only one outside of Marshall and Marmol that has done well. He's got a sub 1.00 WHIP and hasn't allowed a run in 4 appearances.
  13. Ok I've been on the borderline for awhile now but I am officially in the fire Lou camp. The guy is the worst I have seen at using a bullpen.
  14. How is it possible for every team in the league to play a majority of their games against the other conference against playoff teams? Maybe it is possible but I can't think of how, especially when schedules are made before the season starts and thus you don't know who will make playoffs and who won't.
  15. If I'm not mistaken Soto now has a .417 OBP. He's gotten a lot of walks so far. Current rate puts him at 108 for season.
  16. Just saw the HR and yeah that cracked me up.
  17. Russell hasn't allowed a run yet but I agree. If I was Milwaukee I would walk Soto.
  18. Jeff Keppinger with 3 ribbies today, haha. I'd be so pissed if a similarly crappy Cardinal did that. Not if the Cardinals were 1-8.
  19. I know it is irrational but part of me thinks we may be better off without him. Lilly should be back soon and Silva/Gorz have done really well in their one start. I disagree. You can't make rotation changes just based on a few starts. Hence why I said it was irrational.

  21. Hitting .121 and striking out 14 times in 33 AB's is much worse than lukewarm dog [expletive]. It's a fresh, piping hot Saint Bernard pile of crap.
  22. So our bats wake up right as our pitching starts faltering?
  23. Ahh shucks we were 2 games below .500 playing without our best player and more than half the games against playoff teams. Anyways I think the Cavs win it all this year and they cruise through most of the playoffs. I think Dallas makes it out of the West.
