  1. Why? Interleague play is great. I love seeing teams and players who I don't ordinarily get to see. The NFL, NBA, and the NHL all have "interleague play" so to speak. Why is it so bad for baseball? It's just crap like this trophy that needs to end. Just not a fan. Outside of a select few match ups it's not terribly interesting and it's just yet another thing that complicates and already very complicated schedule. I always preferred it that the two leagues didn't meet until the WS. Agreed. Interleague served it's purpose now it's just bleh. I rather take the games against the AL and give those games back to the NL teams.
  2. I know some people will think I am pessimistic, but I am hoping for a .500 homestand. The Nationals have played the Cubs tough lately, and we can't seem to best the D'Backs anywhere. I'm hoping we go 3-3 on the homestand.
  3. I think this is the best thing for Samardzija. He is not going to be a starter. He'll be fortunate to be a decent middle reliever at this point. He needs to work on his 4-seamer + off-speed out-pitch combo and forget about 3+ secondary pitches. I agree. I think there is still hope that Shark can still become a serviceable reliever. I think going down to Iowa, sticking him in a specific role and having his work on and developed two pitches over 4 pitches will do wonders for him.
  4. What the hell if Lebron's endgame from this? Trying to get more young ballers to join his brand? Or is it he trying to become the NBA's biggest douche?
  5. rotoworld says Blount backed out of the deal with the 49ers. but that doesn't answer my question. did he verbally say he would sign with them and then decided not to or has he already signed and now he wants out? the first may be slightly concerning (if at all), but it's not the huge deal Bum is making it out to be. I haven't found the reason for Blount's change of heart.
  6. Hawks need to play tonight as if they are down 3-2. I want to end those sumbitches season TONIGHT. Do it Hawks, I triple dog dare ya.
  7. The league is filled with former QB's playing other spots, so maybe Juice is amendable to giving FB a go if he wants a shot in the NFL.
  8. rotoworld says Blount backed out of the deal with the 49ers.
  9. LeGarrette Blount apparently backed out of his deal with SF, and has signed on with Tennessee.
  10. And if LBJ had played in the L in the late 80-90s like Jordan, he would not had gotten a Triple Double as easily. He might still, but his body would have been beaten up worse then Brett Favre's after last season's NFC Champ game. So this what if game is complete crap. With that said, the Cavs are the better team, LBJ is a legitimate talent and the Cavs COULD win the championship..I know I am not pissed about losing to Cleveland. In fact I was more pissed about losing to a Celtics team that could have been beaten.
  11. Excellent. Though he better keep his head up tomorrow night. Especially if the Hawks have a couple-goal lead near the end of the game. If the Hawks do have a multiple goal lead late in the game, I'm hoping Q will do the right thing for the franchise and keep Hossa off the ice, so that Nashville doesn't try to exact revenge.
  12. In the same way, if Soto plays well all season, then Wells becomes an interesting trade chip. Not even...........................close.
  13. If Colvin plays well all season, then I think Fuku becomes an interesting trade chip in the offseason.
  14. Fine Magdal, I *GUESS* the Cubs could take Pujols off your hands after the season. But if you do, you owe us...
  15. Barnes was huge statistically, but I don't think he translates to the NFL very well. He has very few physical advantages and is downright slow for a WR. The few chances he had against BCS defenses did not go very well for him. You're prolly right, but it doesn't hurt to take a look at the kid.
  16. juice is a college spread-option power quarterback. he's very mechanical in his throws, his arm is amazing, but his release and decision-making are very slow. he sucks at short throws, good at deep ones, average at the intermediates. he doesn't have the speed of randle-el or brad smith and cannot play wide receiver, has never returned kicks or punts, nor would anyone want him to. his ability lies in his strength as a runner, and for a power back, he's got average elusiveness. he runs over people, not around them. if there were a special roster exemption for the wildcat quarterback, he'd be a nice fit, but there isn't. he's got virtually zero chance of ever making an NFL roster. Thx. I was trying to think outside the box with Juice. Maybe he is destined for a team like the Chicago Rush or Chicago Slaughter.
  17. He most certainly should not have. Agree. No need to rush a 20 year old SS, just because some people think it would be "cool" to see.
  18. I see the Bears offer Juice Williams a tryout opportunity. For those who have followed his career, what kind of athlete us Juice? I doubt he'll make it as a QB in the NFL, but he follow in the footsteps of say Antwaan El, and Brad Smith as former college QBs turns NFL WR/PR/athlete?
  19. try NFLDraftbible.com
  20. Brandon Minor. Running back from Michigan. Good power back, but can't seem to ever stay healthy. Good to see him get picked up by an NFL team, with it being a plus that it's the Bears. Brad Biggs said Brandon Moore on twitter. And looking at Michigan's roster, I think Biggs got the two mixed up.
  21. Jevan Snead signs UDFA deal with Tampa Bay.
  22. HOSSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. UDFA Signing: Freddie Barnes WR Bowling Green Quentin Scott S Northern Iowa Matt Mayberry LB Indiana Brandon Moore ??? Michigan* Levin Horn OT Montana* Greg Matthews WR Michigan* Antonio Robinson WR Nicholls State* Cornelius Brown CB UTEP* Barry Turner DE Nebrask* *expected to sign FA deals with the Bears shortly.
  24. I see the Hawks are channeling their inner Cubs for this game. IT'S THE GOD-FREAKIN-PREDATORS, Hawks, not the Sharks, Red Wings, Penquins, or the Captials. WTH are you doing?
