  1. Ryan Braun........and Hunter Pence "The Haterade Boys."
  2. Everybody says the Bears will lose to Phildelphia (or most do), but I predict on national tv, the Bears will shine. Bears 21 Iggles 7.
  3. I just wish people in Houston and/or Astros fans would just shut up about their predicament. It's embarrassing that they are whining more then a democrat.
  4. I think most would agree that most intriguing matchup this weekend will be the Alabama/GA game...Alabama is looking to put a crick in GA National Title hopes, plus add credibilty they are legit. GA is looking to prove they are a legit NT contender, considering they haven't done so yet this yr. So be a fun, hard nose game, SEC football at it's finest.
  5. Sick, but expected. SEC sportswriters are delusional and Big 12 sportswriters tend not to be. I believe you have that backwards.......Big 12 sportwriters tend to be more delusional. Atleast the SEC has the teams to back it up....
  6. If those three teams are forced to tie at the end of the season, then you have a mini tournment of two teams playing on Monday, then the winner plays the 3rd team on Tuesday. Which means, if this situation pops up, then the Cubs could potentially miss either Johan Santana or Cole Hamels for Games 1 and 2. The earliest the Cubs would face either pitcher would be Game 3. I would assume the Mets would throw Perez and Martinez, and the Phills Myers and Blanton (if Myers isn't used in thay hyperthetical situation) against the Cubs, if this situation plays. So let's hope for a 3 way tie for the Wild Card...
  7. It took 2 yrs for Bob Bachich (or what his name is) to destroyed what Ron Rivera built in Chicago for the defense. So how long before people start wanting Bachich's head on a platter? This defense hasn't been the same since Rivera left.
  8. Get to know two names: Jonathon Toews (likely ROY had he not been injuried) and Patrick "Candy" Kane. These two young men---who can't drink legally, mind you---are going to absoltuely dominate the NHL for a long time. Get to know these two franchise faces now, and the rest of the team will fall into place. Overchkin and Crosby get all of the glory of the NHL (like their predecessors Lemieux and Gretzky) but Toews and Kane are going to be this generations Stevie Y (Yzerman) and Mark Messier, in that they will be superstars in this game, but vastly underrated by people outside of their respective teams. Trust me, if you following the Hawks like the Cubs, you will love watching Kane and Toews play.
  9. Roy Williams to Dallas.........that's a good one.. :-))
  10. Did the Bears get screwed on the Tillman penalty? Of course they did. Anybody with a working brain-cell knows that the Buc player provoked the incident. With that said, the Bears screwed themselves worse then the refs. I mean how do you blow a 10 point lead at home to an offense that, IMO, is worse then the Bears? The fact is...the Bears deserve this loss, period. With that said, even to I am not a backer of him, but if Orton doesn't have a good game next week, I think I am going to support putting Grossman back in as starter. So what you want about Grossman, but there ae passes Rex can make (let say, passes beyond 20 yrds) then Orton simply cannot make.
  11. Am I the only one who feels that the win against the Colts just 2 weeks ago, feels like forever since it happened?
  12. No, he's not. Stubborn? Yes. He's not one of the worst coaches, just not as good as the 06 Bears made him out to be.
  13. Wow, Jim Edmonds got a stading O from the fans in front of the Cards. That's got to burn both the Cards and their fans.
  14. Good one. Take your garbage elsewhere, thanks. So you can't state your opinion? Nice! Tony Romo called. Said he is a mental flat tire. Fixed for personal joke...
  15. I get it now....the no-hitter celebration at the mound was a warm up for today's celebration. You gotta know your roles dude.
  16. Maria is freakin' gorgeous. But Sunny at her peak makes her look like Roseanne. :nea: Sonny=WWF's version of Jenny McCarthy.. And come on Cubs, I feel like celebrating..
  17. I'm still relatively stressed free (partly because my football team kicked butt), and the Cubs will win this game by mulitple runs. In fact I predict the Cubs will get those 4 runs back the next 1/2 inning.
  18. Ain't this a good problem to have? To have 4 guys who can make legitimate claims to start game 1 of the playoffs. Nonetheless, IDC who starts Game 1, cause every game is important, and not one game is more important then the other. Whoever gets the call to start the playoffs is of no consequence to me, personally. because it is still just one game and you need the other three pitchers that are projected to go in the series--if needed--to pitch as good if not better than who starts Game 1.
  19. I would have no problems if Z and Lilly starts 1-2, and Harden/Demspter 3-4. Or any combination........That's what so great aboot the Cubs rotation, it's the pro-cess to which Lou Piniella can throw any rotation out there in the playoffs, and the Cubs are expeted to when. This is fun to talk about, eh?
  20. Quiet riot is due to break out his grit and get himself a grit hit.
  21. Kinda like how Zambrano imploding in Game 1 of last yr's NLDS...........no wait, he didn't implode and he gave the Cubs a chance to win Game 1. I agree that I don't want Zambrano start Game 1, but it's not because he's a "headcase" and would "implode" but because the Cubs have good depth in the rotation and Lou really doesn't have to rearrange the rotation for the playoffs.
  22. I agree it would be "not cool", but it isn't devastating. But seeing as it wouldn't last to 5 games, cause I feel the Cubs---if they don't beat Hamels the first time---will whup Moyer/Myers and Blanton, before the Phillies could trout Hamels back out a 2nd game. Because of their ownage of the Cubs recently. Besides I don't want to face the Marlins, only becase of the unlimited references to Moises Alou, Alex Gonzalez, and Steve Bartman announcers would make during that series.
