  1. Impressive start to the season by Jung.
  2. Gooch is back in training with Milan. Yeah as of last week full training. He's probably just as likely to get a game as Charlie before camp though. Not going to happen. Milan are currently third with no chance of catching the first two and with Sampdoria and Palermo breathing down their necks. They only have three games left to play: Fiorentina at home, Genoa away and Juve at home to close off the season.
  3. Or we could go to 312 Sports! Unless that's on the same server. 8-)
  4. For the benefit of the addicts: there's an emergency board at http://z8.invisionfree.com/emergencynsbb/index.php? if this ones goes down.
  5. But that would only make him the 3rd best SS in the game. Given the position the Cubs are in, I think they should be delighted with that. 8-)
  6. Liverpool FC put up for sale Any bets as to whom they end up with?
  7. I'll make sure to root for him on certain dates: 14th, 15th and 16th of June.
  8. The article doesn't mention what kind of sensors are used and how they are used to measure "fatigue" - I'd be interested to read about that.because I'm intrigued by how they do it.
  9. it's actually a spin-off from more serious research in to "intelligent textiles" to monitor patients and people like firemen during an emergency.
  10. They should auction those for charity.
  11. It's currently live on three different channels available here, so yeah, it's pretty big.
  12. He's also Dutch, in case the Cubs needed another reason to beat him.
  13. Officially confirmed: he's back with DOOR Neptunus in Rotterdam (the defending champions in the Dutch league)
  14. Robert Pires has expressed interest in playing in MLS after his contract at Villareal expires at the end of the season.
  15. LOL at the self-confidence bit; he's Dutch, so that comes naturally. I'll track which team he shows up with in the Dutch league (probably Rotterdam - his younger brother plays there)
  16. The disappearance of Aaron Miles from that bench is a step in the right direction.
  17. I'm beginning to think the front office started reading NSBB.
  18. Prior to the trade, none of the MI's on the roster could be sent down without clearing waivers (and/or their approval in some cases). This trade is as much about "getting something in return" as opposed to "losing somebody for nothing" imho.
  19. Ah, thanks, Bruce. Bright man, choosing the Cubs over the Cards. And also a smart rule 5 pick by the Cubs (I have a hunch this scenario was in their minds when they made that pick)
  20. Thank you, Tim. If only I had a tenner for every time I tried to get that point across, I'd be a rich man by now.
  21. Is there a single major league player on the current Cubs team to whom this doesn't apply? Silva?
  22. Not necessarily. The Cubs have a number of players on the 40 man roster that can't be easily sent down (i.e. without clearing waivers or the right to refuse), so discussing possible trades to solve any problem of trimming down to 25 may not be as hypothetical as you would like to think.
  23. I was stunned to see Dwayne Kemp on the Daytona roster. That doesn't make much sense, imho.
  24. Barça completely overwhelmed Stuttgart yesterday; a very impressive display.
  25. :-)) That piece was obviously hot news around here, but local commentators aren't buying it ... yet. Talented as those individuals may be, they still haven't been able to produce as a team so far. We'll have to wait and see if Advocaat will be able to make them play as a team. If he succeeds, than yes, some international success can be hoped for. As for now, we'll settle for simply qualifying to begin with.
