  1. So Jim Hendry must be a very happy man now.
  2. \:D/ \:D/ Club Brugge dealt Valencia their first loss in 18 games in Europe this evening. The 1-0 win keeps the return leg wide open.
  3. From The Cub Reporter: :-)) :-)) :-))
  4. I saw that one live on TV and thought the same thing. It was hard to miss, imho.
  5. That was close to the very end, but ManU wins 2-3. One of the better CL games of this season, imho.
  6. You bet. Very entertaining game.
  7. Not participating in Vancouver.
  8. That made me think of this cartoon: http://content.cartoonbox.slate.com/?feature=65decf0007c834f7674dfdea857a71ca

  12. It's always a good idea to check out the Swedish women. 8-)
  13. This dude at Newsweek obviously doesn't like sports: Fool's Gold He does have some valid points though.
  14. That's an interesting read, thanks. I'm very intrigued by what he could do with Fukudome.
  15. That's a good question. There already were competitors who voiced concerns about the extreme conditions of the track before the events of today. I'm not sure if there's another track available off-site or something. Not that far to Calgary, which still has its track. I'm sure they wouldn't do that. I think. Nope. The competition will go ahead as planned today, on that track.
  16. Liverpool sign Milan Jovanovic (currently with Standard Liège) to a three year deal starting this summer.
  17. Obviously. :^o
  18. Not good enough. Cubs go all the way. :oldbluekoolaid:
  19. I thought there was never anything friendly about a US v Mexico match.
  20. I'm guessing any reports of a rift with the Cubs is based on Theriot's people not being willing to split the difference in the way that pretty much every other arbitration case has done. Yeah, it's that he reportedly won't budge from his asking price that's got the Cubs brass pissed off. All players ask for more than the club wants them to in arbitration, but most also will negotiate to middle ground. Theriot is reportedly not doing that. So the truly hilarious outcome would be the arbitration panel settling on the Cubs figure. 8-)
  21. I don't mind Theriot at 3.4 actually. However, if the Cubs' contract situation at other positions requires them to go cheap in the middle infield, I also don't mind them trading Theriot while his value is high, especially if his replacement could be one of the keys to longer term success for the team. No disrespect to Ryan, but that's something he sure isn't.
  22. Well, there's plenty of those.
  23. Depending on how things go this summer, I can see Egypt organizing within the next 25 years.
  24. Wow, 40 rainouts. :D Even more impressive: a .73 winning percentage. 8-)
  25. Marco Materazzi http://www.sporza.be/polopoly_fs/1.702559!image/2136678841.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape470/2136678841.jpg He was formally warned for it, but no sanction was given.
