The rest was just practical strategy. His team was fighting relegation and he got sent off. Might as well try to bait some City players into getting sent off to even the playing field. Almost worked. Micah Richards had to pull Balotelli away by the shirt. :lol: I hadn't thought of that. In that case Balotelli was indeed an obvious target. :wink:

In fairness, Tevez was clearly baiting him on the television images just prior to the incident, and he got what he was looking for (i.e. Barton was sent off). The rest was obviously uncalled for.

That was absolutely insane; watching the added time with the feed from Sunderland as an insert was priceless. No sane person could have written that script - both Mancini and Kompany still looked shocked in their post-match interviews.

That will feel like home to Real (except for the humidity) :wink: Do they play lots of games there in the summer that I'm not aware of? They start the season (both the league and the cup competitions) in august like most other European leagues, but your assessment of preferably preparing in a better environment is probably correct.

Agreed - keeping him in the closer role is bad for the team, and bad for him as an individual. Using him in low-pressure situations is the obvious way to salvage something from that contract.

I honestly have no idea who the fourth string goalie is (i.e., the goalie who will "merely" be the back-up in an FA Cup Seminal Derby). Their fourth stringer is on loan to Hull, so I guess they are going to put one of their academy kids on the bench and just pray (both Bedford and Mersin are only 17)
