We all have to make choices, and live with the consequences. You prefer not to look beyond the ASB (I'm not even going to bring up the rest of the decade), you just want a quick fix to the (admittedly painful) product on the field - aka the Jim Hendry way. The new front office has chosen a long -term strategy to fix the organization's problems and is sticking to that strategy. FWIW, I prefer this long-term approach, even if the immediate result is frustrating to watch on most days.

Yes - his name (Jair Bogaerts) has been mentioned in Arizona Phil's reports a couple of times. -
Be sure to drop by the Abbey or better still - "In de Vrede" just across the street form the Abbey ;-) You should be OK for the match coverage tomorrow - either TF1 or M6 will show it live in France, and both are readily available (at least they were in every French hotel I've stayed in for the last few years). Better get ready for French commentators though ;-)
