I dont think anyone except Colorado and Detroit were offering those contracts.

Absolutely, it's money first. But if a team that has sucked is offering 5/125 and a team that won its division the year before is offering 5/100, they might at least let the contender negotiate a bit more. If the offers are reversed, the non-contender gets a flat no.

I felt like they were a good baserunning team too. Shoot, Game 7 had KB scoring from 1st on Rizzo's single, Almora tagging and going 1st to 2nd on a deep fly ball, and KB scoring in a shallow fly ball. -
Winning the division also looks a lot better to FAs, I would think.

Yeah, no. Stealing 3rd with Candelario there would have been a worse call than the bunt. If Tauchman was on 2nd and Candelario on 1st, it's a different story - but stealing 3rd with a guy who isn't a base stealer is asking for trouble

Just pinch hit Gomes for Amaya instead of bunting. He's repeatedly come up big in the clutch.

Last night's pitching matchup wasas bad of a matchup as we could have in this series. Our worst (yes, I'd consider Assad/Wesneski/Bullpen game better than Smyly) against their best. Hopefully we give Alonso the Bonds treatment. After him, their lineup is so weak
