  1. http://espn.go.com/olympics/hockey/story/_/id/10195703/how-us-hockey-team-bound-sochi-olympics-was-named cool article on the U.S. Men's Hockey team selection process
  2. I feel like God owuld turn around most defenses  But in all seriousness, is there much difference really between a 3-4 ILB and 4-3 MLB? I think Dansby has played mostly in 3-4 defenses in his career.
  3. If Nix III is there at the 14th, I'm having a hard time thinking who I would pick over him. If you went by that mock offseason in page 2 in this thread, HaHa or a CB (who is the #1 CB in this draft anyway??) I think it's probably Justin Gilbert from Ok State. Would love to see Nix on the Bears. That guy is a monster. HaHa would be interesting. I feel like we've seen what big time safeties can do recently with Vaccaro, Berry, Earl Thomas, etc. going early and being impact players... not saying HaHa is anywhere near Berry or Thomas, but he's a well-regarded safety along the likes of Vaccaro (different positions though, right?) who helped the Saints D tremendously
  4. If we're looking at the options for QB, I think Jay coming back is the only logical choice. There do not appear to be any viable free agent QBs out there. The only QB I would feel comfortable drafting and putting in the lineup right away is Bridgewater, who will go to Houston unless they fall in love with Clowney. I haven't seen Bortles play, so I honestly don't know about him. I'm not too interested in Manziel as a pro. Hundley and Carr don't excite me. Boyd, McCarron, Murray, etc. seem like good college QBs who can be either above average backups, Kyle Orton (as a Bear) type starters, or complete busts. I don't see how you can get rid of the most talented QB the Bears have ever had just to make a change and save money. With even a slightly below average defense instead of a terrible one and a healthy Jay, the Bears are an easy playoff team.
  5. we know what they'll get. which is? Can't find it posted anywhere
  6. depending on tiebreakers, I think the Bears can pick anywhere from 14th to 18th in the draft. I hate this so much.
  7. sulley was completely right... the most heartbreaking way imaginable
  8. if they kick it deep Hester will try and return it from 5 yards deep and get tackled at the 10
  9. why the heck did they send so many? fire mel tucker right now
  10. too much dancing. just get forward and gain anything you can
  11. Wilson with a big catch and hangs on
  12. Only Conte doesn't pick that... and then they have Lacy bottled up and he does that... crap
  13. what a throw and catch!
  14. looked like he slipped there going to make a cut
  15. yeah, terrible spot, but at least they got the 6
  16. Thought he was in, but what a play!
  17. you've got to be kidding me
  18. how is that not illegal batting of the ball? Rodgers clearly hit it with his hand after it came loose... yes, the Bears should have grabbed it, but his hand clearly hit the ball further downfield, which as we saw last week in the Steelers game, is illegal.
  19. D is actually playing the run well so far
  20. I loved Briggs putting his hands up after Lacy went down like "I didn't do anything"
  21. even Joe Buck thinks it was a bad call
  22. the end around made that big run possible
  23. Conte did something awesome!
  24. so where do the Bears draft after they lose this?
  25. load of crap that they call that and not the PI on Williams
