  1. So we have both Bollig and Brookbank playing forward tonight... not exactly a lot of offensive firepower between those two
  2. quoting myself, but yeah they definitely did. That got Shaw suspended for the series against Phoenix... that's BS
  3. did they hit Crawford on that last sequence?
  4. Do they have 1 safety on their roster that would start on any other team in the NFL right now? Before picking Kelvin Benjamin the Carolina Panthers top 3 WRs were Jerricho Cotchery, Jason Avant, and Marvin McNutt. Their LT as of right now is someone named Byron Bell or someone named Nate Chandler... I would estimate that those positions are more important than safety and those players are junk... Avant and Cotchery were bad #3 WRs last year, even though Cotchery somehow caught 10 TDs
  5. I think he'll start at safety
  6. Attitude issues? Is this because he pointed out the obvious that no smart veterans want to partake in the farce the Cubs organization is performing. No, when his Twitter tirade happened, railing against women, it was noted that this was well known within baseball. You think Garza's misogynist views were unique enough to be considered a red flag attitude problem? You think having those views on women is OK apparently? not jersey, but I think he's saying that Garza probably isn't alone in baseball circles in terms of being a misogynist or similar type of moron
  7. that foul call on Gibson was ridiculous... just because the guy from Washington fell into him doesn't mean it's a foul. He jumped straight up and blocked the shot then got hit by the shooter
  8. Man it would be great if he gets back in the form he showed in the Cape Cod league
  9. Highest combined seeds in the final ever
  10. What a shot
  11. I think if you understood it that well, you would have used Rodman to make your case about Wallace in the first place. Oh but as a Chicagoan and bulls fan I was actually able to remember Dennis Rodman as well. Then you should also realize that when he was younger Rodman also happened to help defend MJ. Ben Wallace couldn't have defended MJ in his dreams
  12. Houston can move inside too, right? Yup the Raiders played him inside often. Good point I wouldnt be surprised if he was the 3 technique when the Bears are playing traditional 4-3 If Houston is 270 and Young 250, I expect they'll only do that on passing downs. Houston's nfl.com bio has him at 300 http://www.nfl.com/player/lamarrhouston/496794/profile
  13. That Malcolm Hill charge was epic. How do you charge a guy who is laying on the ground? C'mon, that was a foul. He rammed over his defender. his defender whose feet were barely on the ground and thus could not have been set
  14. I think I would rank them as follows : E, A, B, C, D, H, F, G... but man it just seems like a jumble of really similar teams
  15. I've seen him dunk, but not show any handles or shot. I find it hard to believe he's better than Marty b or Werewolf. Yeah, Martellus was a 4 star basketball recruit who at one point actually declared for the NBA draft out of hs, though he did withdraw.
  16. Contraction would likely help, but it's not going to happen when guys are lined up to buy into the NBA. You could put any team up for sale right now and there would be a bidding war over it.
  17. http://www.bleachernation.com/2014/03/03/since-spring-training-is-for-fun-watch-javier-baez-destroy-a-baseball/ Brett posted the video over at BN... what a bomb
  18. If Rose hadn't been hurt, the Bulls would be starting 4 guys they drafted (Rose, Butler, Deng, Noah) with Taj coming off the bench OKC has drafted KD, Westbrook, and Ibaka, and initially got good with Harden, whom they drafted San Antonio drafted Duncan, Parker, Manu, Kawhi Leonard Portland drafted Aldridge, Lillard, Nic Batum Indy drafted Hibbert, George, and Lance Stephenson While that's not a huge list of homegrown guys, and many of those guys were drafted after the teams got top 5 picks (KD, Westbrook, Rose, Duncan, Aldridge)... But that's what happens, you still have to pick the right guys when you're at the top of the draft. And those are, after Miami, probably 5 (in this hypothetical non-injured DRose scenario) of the 6 or 7 next best teams Bulls - Got good when they got Rose. Not when they draft top 5 every year for 7 straight years. Spurs - Got lucky that D Robinson got hurt in the year Duncan came out. OKC - Got lucky Durant didnt go #1 that year. A core of Oden/Westbrook/Ibaka would challenge for an 8 seed. Indy - Traded Jermaine Oneal for Hibbert. Otherwise a good example of taking mid first roudners and adding quality vets in free agency. Other than Spurs (and lets be honest they lucked into one of the greatest players of all time)these teams have 0 titles and 2 final appearences. Other teams of note: Heat - 3 titles purchased through free agency. Celtics - free agency Mavs - Won in dirk's 13 year with FA vets Chandler/Kidd/Terry/Marion/Stevenson LA - Shaq and Pau. Superstars with veteran supporting casts win in the NBA. Not young players and not through the lottery. Hibbert was essentially picked by Indy, because the trade of O'neal to Toronto was completed as soon as he was picked. Toronto picked him for the Pacers. And while other than the Spurs there are no titles, the Heat are (and have been) a serious Lebron injury away from being just another also-ran. And the argument wasn't about title winning teams, You asked what good teams did so through the draft, and I named 5 top teams that have pretty much done just that. Yes, they have supplemented their drafted players through free agency and they have picked at the top of the draft to get their big time stars, but that is exactly what teams like Philly are hoping to do. If Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins gets drafted by the 76ers or whoever and becomes a star, then they can add some pieces beside them and be competing for a title.
  19. 20. You can immediately classify as worthless any list that has Sano ahead of Baez, much less by 10 spots. Let's not forget Kyle Zimmer as the #4 prospect or Tyler Glasnow ahead of both Baez and Bryant. or the laughable idea that there are 14 prospects better than Baez
  21. seriously, this game has been an affront to all basketball at all levels
  22. What a pass by Kaner for that Pavelski goal
