  1. Well, it looks like they're going for another top pick next year... But the top prospects (towns, okafor, Alexander) seem to trend toward big guys... Which they now have Saric, embiid, and Noel in the front court... Even if Saric won't be here for a couple years
  2. Well, if they end up with Melo, McDermott probably becomes a scorer off the bench for them, right? I think he could be great in that role.
  3. Totally agree. Great pick. At worst they have the best front line the league in 2-3 years. no, at worst Embiid becomes Greg Oden and Nerlens Noel doesn't develop an offensive game and ends up being Omer Asik with good hands (who would be a good player, but not part of the best front line in the league) Embiid is a much better player than Oden. Much better athlete and far more polished game. Oden had/has no jumper or moves around the basket. He was pure power. Noel is a far better athlete than Asik. His ceiling is Tyson Chandler and his floor Tyrus Thomas. Your comparisons make no sense. He becomes Oden if his injuries keep him from ever making an impact... not saying it will happen, but big guys with back and foot injuries don't have great track records... the human body just doesn't work like that. And Asik probably was a bad comparison, I just thought of the first defense-only big man I could think of that actually has some talent.
  4. It's 4 I thought? First 2 years guaranteed and then 2 team option years follow that. but then he's a restricted free agent and they get him if they want him

  6. I'M CHRIS BROUSSARD AND I AM SHOUTING!
  7. that was a beautiful counter, too bad Bedoya was the one trying to finish... and what an effort by Lahm to get back
  8. I would Jurgen won't do it, but I'd love to see him throw Julian Green in there for JJ just to say, he's ours
  9. should we remove Jones now? possible concussion... playing on yellow...
  10. Portugal goal! CR7 may have saved our bacon
  11. That is seriously heartbreaking... Cameron just had such an awful night
  12. and how the heck do you blow the final whistle there?
  13. edit: 5 minutes of stoppage time just screwed us over
  14. and Howard made the save anyway... (so what if they may have stopped really playing first)
  15. get up Nani
  16. got some speed coming in... this is why Yedlin was brought here
  17. wow, that was a screamer! the Germanicans look pretty great today
  18. Landon is so stiff, not that I blame him. How awkward must it be to offer commentary on a team that you feel like you should be a part of? Think we'll see any switches at half? Tactically? Personnel?
  19. Ah, yes. Paired with Rose (who would only need to be 70-80%), Noah, and at least 1 of Butler/Gibson that's easily the best team in the East and likely the league. Simmons - even though his schtick can get old, he does have legit connections (or at least connections to people like Jalen Rose who have legit connections) - could send Boozer + 16 + 19 to Orlando for Afflalo and waivable contracts then Mirotic+MDJ+Snell somewhere to free up money for Melo
  20. that is thoroughly uninspiring edit: about Conforto
  21. so let's recap: Carter's goal shouldn't have counted because he was first offisdes then hit it with a high stick Toffoli got a lucky bounce off Handzus right to him with a wide open net Then they bank one right off of Leddy to win it in OT... (And yes, I know Sharp's 2 were kinda lucky, but still... feeling snakebit sucks
  22. Yeah Craw! See you in Chicago!
  23. Patrick Kane is good at hockey!
