  1. http://t.co/VCDAnFkMpw NCAA came down fairly hard on Syracuse... Boeheim suspended 9 ACC games next year, loss of 3 scholarships per year for next 4 years, recruiting restrictions next 2 years. Some other stuff too, but those are the ones that matter for the future.
  2. and go After Suh to anchor the d-line? While i'd love this, I think Suh can and will get more money elsewhere, and I think it would be better to get an impact defender at 7 and try to get a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd like a Devin Smith, Dorial Green-Beckham (though I doubt they'd take him with suspension issues in college) Jaelen Strong, Justin Hardy, someone like that
  3. I've got the same one-bid leagues, so to be considered for at-large berths: Those above are ordered roughly from most on the bubble to safest within the conference (in my opinion, of course)
  4. saw the post on the official Blackhawks Twitter account that said "Remember this moment Brent? Yeah, we do, too. Thanks for the memories! " and before seeing the picture thought Seabrook had been traded... turns out Sopel retired officially.
  5. Shoot, didn't even realize Gregory hadn't been taken there... I'd take him over Ray.
  6. If that is how it falls, I want Ray
  7. Schwarber looks like a beast
  8. In fairness, his favorite team is the Cardinals in Hell, he just cheers for the Cubs while the CiH build their roster.
  9. edit: beaten by Banedon, naturally but that takes another intriguing option off the table for the Bears... looking more and more like we'll end up with Fox.
  10. Pretty sure he signed an extension this spring
  11. Teams would be crazy to pass on him in the latter half of Rd 1 Agree with WF22 here... I would almost have to consider taking him at 7 if he fell to the Bears, though if he did I would hope more for a trade up from a team like Houston who really needs a QB. He may come with a lot of baggage, but in that baggage you'll also find an incredible amount of talent. Sometimes those guys work out work out (Randy Moss) sometimes they don't (Lawrence Phillips, and plenty of others)
  12. I don't know if there are any reports of Lovie considering Trestman, but it does appear he met McCown in Clearwater. Maybe they're just good buds. I know we now have reports of an interview, but I like to think it was partly McCown's way of saying thanks for the big contract
  13. going off of the numbers baseball think factory's ballot collector has, Biggio getting in and Bagwell not coming all that close would be an absolute joke. Biggio's last well above average season was 2001 (OPS+ of 111, bbrefWAR 3.2). After that season he collected another 911 hits, including 130 in his final season where he recorded a Nefii-esque -2.1 WAR and an OPS+ of 71. Bagwell's worst single season was his last- when he only played 39 games and got 123 PA, and he still put up an OPS+ of 94 and 0.3 WAR. His 2 worst seasons otherwise (according to BB Ref WAR) are both 3.7 WAR
  14. I know Mannelly was a long snapper and not really a typical lineman, but it's bad when the NFL offensive lineman isn't the big guy on your show
  15. I do enjoy when Bernstein just isn't in the mood to handle their stupidity and cuts them off, but I need to get some work done so I had to turn it off. Will be listening to the PC though.
  16. guy on WSCR doesn't like Jay because he refused him an autograph in the team hotel and he told McCaskey about the Cutler "incident" later on in the dining room at the hotel. wow, the people who call into radio shows are the best.
  17. Jacksonville won't fire Bradley... I think they'll give him at least one full year with Bortles... Washington wouldn't be too surprising if they fired Gruden, but it is only one year in. Coughlin has reportedly been told he will stay with NYG and I imagine Buffalo is going to stick with Marrone after a 9-7 season.
  18. glad Emery didn't bother taking questions or drawing things out longer than they needed to be. He's done, let's move on.
  19. Miller is actually making sense. Jay needs to develop as a leader. True, I may be a little behind listening online, because he started making a little more sense after I posted that edit: aaaannnd off the deep end with the Schwartz suggestion
  20. I don't think I can keep listening to Rozner and Miller much longer... no, Cutler isn't a superstar quarterback, but the best QB available will be Brian freaking Hoyer. He's the best option we have.
  21. Spiegel on the score a few minutes ago said that wgn local will likely be picking up 45 games
  22. gotta get some offense from Cosby and Starks for that to happen... not that they won't, it just hasn't been there the last few games
  23. LF Coghlan 3B Valbuena 1B Rizzo RF Soler SS Castro C Montero CF Alcantara 2B La Stella P Lester knew before even checking that this was sneaky posting
  24. It really bothers me that Heyward will probably now hit 300/400/500 for the next 10 years and all they had to give up was a pitcher who didn't make their postseason rotation and a pitching prospect (though I'm unaware of how well-regarded Jenkins is)
  25. If we stick with the 4-3, I want Suh. Even if we move to a 3-4, I still probably want him, though idk about how he would adjust. I don't care if he turns out to actually be a lunatic, the dude is an absolute monster at DT and the kind of pass rush and disruption he offers can make up for a lot of ills in the secondary.
