  1. Co-signed. One of the big appeals of football is that the games are once a week. It's bad enough that there's a Monday Night game, and spreading into Thursday just makes it worse. College Football is nearly a 7 day a week sport
  2. 45" standing box jump? Eff the Cubs, sign him to the Bulls
  3. My wife and I had quite a lively debate about all this last night, as she was still stuck in "denial/defend Paterno" mode. Her argument was: - Paterno heard about the incident from McQueary - Told his bosses - The case was investigated by Gricar and the DA office - The case was subsequently closed/dismissed. - There is no other report of Paterno witnessing/hearing about further incidents Thus, she didn't know what else Paterno should have done. In her timeline, his report DID go to the authorities (Gricar) and he was told that the case was closed. She didn't understand what more he could have done (outside of shunning Sandusky).
  4. putting them on TV is an asinine and borderline irresponsible thing right now
  5. our local ESPN radio guys totally crucify the ESPN talking heads for nights like this, where none of them want to express their opinions. Everyone on ESPN sits on the fence until public opinion has been established
  6. it really sounded like the same 19 year old over and over
  7. oh good, let's start a riot. how embarrassing
  8. http://edge.ebaumsworld.com/picture/Rizzor/beatingadeadhorse.gif I think it's still breathing, keep at it
  9. the worst question was the last one where some douchebag [expletive] asked the guy (i dont remember the exact wording, but it was something to the effect of) are you happy now that you got paterno out since youve been gunning for him since 2004 hoping he would keep losing. the trustee guy was like i dont have any idea what youre talking about. soooooooo amateur and pathetic. Sounds like the initial reaction to the OSU scandal here. The first responses from the meatballs in Columbus were along the lines of "the reporter who broke this story for Yahoo is a Michigan alum blaaaaaaarrrrrgghhhhhhh!!!" Yeah, PSU idiot reporter, the Board of Trustees have finally executed their 7 year master plan to get rid of Paterno. Good job, Sherlock Holmes
  10. you'll probably find your nsbb experience will be enhanced by not reading goony's posts any more. Or you may find your college football watching experience enhanced by not supporting a child rape enabler I wouldn't know, since last time I watched a college football game, I didn't know the coach was a child rape enabler. But it's cute how you keep trying to imply I support the people who enabled it. Maybe if you repeat it enough times it'll stick
  11. When Penn State students put their mind to it, there are few that can top their stupidity. These are the idiots who rioted during the Arts Festival because......because
  12. Funny. A coach who enabled a predatory child rapist for a decade just got fired. Forgive me if I'm not in the mood for defensiveness about it. I don't really care what you're in the mood for, Kyle.
  13. you'll probably find your nsbb experience will be enhanced by not reading goony's posts any more. He'd probably disagree (see what I did there?)
  14. He's it on bail so that wouldn't be crazy. Although I don't know how frequently peeresses kill themselves. Is it their thing to stay alive and see all the crap they destroyed? Isn't he still insisting he's innocent?
  15. Because I have clearly supported that. What the [expletive] are you even arguing about?
  16. Would you not go? Do the football players not deserve some support? i don't care, the program and school don't deserve the support. i hope they lose every game the rest of the year by 100 points (which very well may happen.) still employed by psu: -tim curley -mike mcqueary If those two guys are still employed by season's end, I'll change your name to Raging Anus
  17. Forgive my defensiveness.....the only coach I've ever known on the team I've been a fan of for 25 years just got fired, destroying his legacy along the way. I'm not in the mood for people high-fiving over this
  18. Not even close. A fired football coach doesn't fix what happened to those kids. If anything, it distracts from Sandusky. I agree with the firing, but justice? Give me a [expletive] break How does it distract from Sandusky? The guy is a kid raper; he's already the ultimate villain and he's going to pay the price for it. It's not like his case is going to fall by the wayside because of this firing. Whose face is on ESPN right now?
  19. Not even close. A fired football coach doesn't fix what happened to those kids. If anything, it distracts from Sandusky. I agree with the firing, but justice? Give me a [expletive] break Way to go big guy Hey, as long as it makes YOU feel better, I guess we can tie a bow on this thing
  20. Would you not go? Do the football players not deserve some support?
  21. Not even close. A fired football coach doesn't fix what happened to those kids. If anything, it distracts from Sandusky. I agree with the firing, but justice? Give me a [expletive] break
  22. I agree. He just got fired and I support the decision. There is zero excuse for a decade of inaction
  23. at least you have guys like Berman loving the "Norris" division. The AFC North is strong as well, but no one cares about the Bengals or Ravens
  24. what a [expletive] disaster
  25. How about the Paterno Division and......oh, wait
