that's all the signs said, right? nothing about canceling the season or alleging that everyone in the football program knew about the abuse? Sooooo...he deserved it? He was asking for it? What exactly are you saying here? How do either of those things possibly justify the treatment he got? No one is justifying anything. Something Franceca said was about how so many people at Penn State are all about Penn State and have always been at Penn State. Unlike many schools that strive for blending outsiders into their system to bring many viewpoints, Penn Staters are all proud about how many of them have always been Penn Staters and always will be. They take pride in their insularity. I'm guessing people who have always had full control of their little island don't think too much about how things can't always be contained. I never got that impression in all the years I lived there, but then again, I never worked for the University

At what point do we start saying the local media is somewhat complicit as well? I've heard on a couple of shows today that many people in the local press have known this was going on for years, but said nothing for fear of losing their jobs.
