But still not excited, because Wisky will win by 70, right? PSU's defense is top 10 in the nation in most categories, so giving up 70 to Wiscy seems a bit unlikely.
if you told me back in August that Penn State would be playing for a berth in the B1G title game on the final day of the season, I would've been thrilled.
If the extra one-game wildcard round had been used the past 10 seasons: 2011: TB (91-71) vs. BOS (90-72) STL (90-72) vs. ATL (89-73) 2010: NYY (95-67) vs. BOS (89-73) ATL (91-71) vs. SD (90-72) 2009: BOS (95-67) vs. TEX (87-75) COL (92-70) vs. SF (88-74) 2008: BOS (95-67) vs. NYY (89-73) MIL (90-72) vs. NYM (89-73) 2007: NYY (94-68) vs. DET (88-74) COL (89-73) vs. SD (89-73) 2006: DET (95-67) vs. CHW (90-72) LAD (88-74) vs. PHI (85-77) 2005: BOS (95-67) vs. CLE (93-69) HOU (89-73) vs. PHI (88-74) 2004: BOS (98-64) vs. OAK (91-71) HOU (92-70) vs. SF (90-72) 2003: BOS (95-67) vs. SEA (93-68) FLA (91-71) vs. HOU (87-75) 2002: LAA (99-63) vs. BOS (93-69) SF (95-66) vs. LAD (92-70) The majority of those matchups would be really good (outside of some duds like the 2006 NL)
If there had been a 1 game wildcard round last year, the "worst" team in the field would have had 89 wins. This isn't going to create situations like the other sports where sub .500 teams make the playoffs
By the time the bowls come around, they'll be able to spin it as "look at these gutsy kids trying to win in the face of adversity". Attendance won't be an issue
That can't possibly protect his assets can it? I mean, if that's the case wouldn't everyone facing a losing civil suit just 'gift' all their assets to other people? they're not going to get joe pa's house if they get a civil judgment against him. and his house isn't worth much. He's lived in the same house forever....some 60's Brady Bunch house looking dwelling. he's hardly living it up in a mansion behind golden gates.
Now there's an Arizona man who is claiming sexual abuse by ANOTHER Penn State professor (unrelated the Sandusky's scandal) that went ignored by the administration. FTH
Unlike the NFL, the NBA is actually losing money in several markets. The NBA players can't treat this like they're NFL players (or expect that kind of cut of the revenue). The NBA has 8-12 teams that could legitimately be considered for contraction because they're losing so much cash
