  1. At least the third former Hoosier from the 90s to die. Really sad. yet Isaiah Thomas remains to terrorize us all
  2. his last site visit was February 24. happy birthday to me?
  3. You did. O'Brien said that some coaches have had the courtesy to call him about recruiting, but many have not
  4. I'm sure guys will transfer, and we'll find out sooner than later due to how soon the season starts
  5. My source is ESPN Radio, so take it for what it's worth
  6. So far, no current players have decided to transfer. No word on any recruits.
  7. the death penalty would have been worse for the local businesses. In that early 00's stretch when PSU had losing seasons in 4 out of 5 seasons, local business didn't suffer (because they still sold out the stadium every game). I don't think a crappy stretch of football is going to equal a half full stadium. If anything, the PSU zealots are going to come out even stronger in support of the team. Local businesses will be fine
  8. Getting this a lot today:
  9. MLB The Show '10 got this guy way wrong. He's a perennial Cy Young guy on my team
  10. he won't win it. he doesn't hit enough HR's
  11. Just how many quarters will Cutler play???????
  12. That's a competition where no one wins
  13. He's a running back with several seasons on his legs. There's no way they DON'T overpay
  14. mlb.com's description of this one says it's Rizzo's 2nd career homer. I guess HR's hit with the Padres don't count. I believe that was agreed on in the latest CBA.
  15. he's completely sick too bad they'll make him a starter and his arm will explode
  16. Baltimore is all smoke and mirrors this year anyways. They are 45-40 despite a -37 run differential. Sure, better pitching might help them, but is their FO willing to go all in this year?
  17. That's not why people were and continue to rail on you... It's the "all or nothing" approach of meatballism; if someone disagrees with the meatball it must be because they hold the opposite extreme opinion of the meatball's extreme opinion. commonly known as "projection"
  18. Blake Griffin out 8 weeks with a torn meniscus. Whoopsy
  19. I was gonna bring up the Jordan Rules. I think a lot of us are remembering what we thought of MJ as young kids growing up Bulls fans. There are a lot of people who didn't like him. I was in college from '92-'96, and pretty much everyone worshipped the guy (including me)
  20. Holy hell, no. The world was in love with Jordan. '92 was before his "baseball vacation" and before all of the infidelity stuff was made public.
  21. That's REALLY looking back on the '92 team with rose-colored glasses. Guys like Jordan, Bird, Magic, Ewing and Barkley were all notorious douchebags. Notorious among their contemporaries, but darlings in the media (ok, not Ewing or Barkley). Today's media focuses much more on the negative personalities of athletes than media 20 years ago That's more the environment of having a 24-hour news cycle, but back then it's not like these guys were hiding many secrets. Everyone knew they were pricks. I think if you took a national poll in '92 that said "Is Michael Jordan a prick?", the results would be around 3% Yes, 97% No.

  23. well Jerry Krause didn't' like cornrows, so.....
  24. Because the Diamondbacks wanted a third baseman But they just traded Youk in order to give Middlebrooks the full time job And Middlebrooks will cost 33M less over the next 3 seasons. And he plays a more in-demand position. And he doesn't have injury concerns. but Arizona wants him, so...
