  5. I may do that if Led Zeppelin loses to the Beatles in the finals. That match up is inevitable. Well, I'll be voting for the Doors all the way, but I think you're right. could be the finals, could be in the Final Four, but a lot depends on what happens in the next 3 days

  7. wow, 2 million people have moved to the city since I moved 18 months ago? Why wasn't this on the news? Maybe not in the city proper, but if you include all of the burbs and what not, isn't 5 mil about right? I thought it was about 3 million in the city but then the entire "Chicagoland Area" was way higher. Like 8 or 9 million?
  8. 2005: 1. Corey Patterson / 2. Neifi Perez vs. 2007: 1. Juan Pierre / 2. Cesar Izturis Discuss
  9. ....and no one is surprised.
  10. Sad but true. just ask Bonds. he'll tell you all about it.
  11. Eisley's contract wasn't guaranteed. The Bulls traded Smith and waived Eisley to make room for Griffin's salary and open up a roster spot for Adrian. Right, they wanted the draft picks but had to take the player, so they dumped the player right after acquiring him. Can someone update what the Bulls roster looks like at this point?
  12. True. he has a much higher stake in who wins NFL games
  13. I threw a vote at Metallica. Sadly, it's going to be like voting for the Green Party
  14. I imagine a team like Anaheim will take a flyer on him

  19. Mariotti doesn't bother me nearly as much as the rest of you. He's actually one of the more entertaining guys on Around the Horn. He's no better or worse than most of the other Sports Editorial guys around the country
  20. what was his excuse in Boston, Cincinnati, Colorado and Minnesota?
  21. voter fraud I blame Jeb Bush
  22. That too, probably. Maybe it was a bit of both. Or maybe it was to give a few more hours to put deals together. There are 8 LESS hours to put deals together, actually. right, because the rule is that you can't make any deals until the 31st.
  23. The White Sox won with small ball and the Cubs will try to win with Little League ball. if by "small ball" you mean hitting a million home runs and having 5 healthy pitchers all year, then I agree
