    Remember when McGwire DIDN'T lead the majors in HR's because of that? it's ludicrous. That rule should have died with inter-league play.

    Luckily, due to MLB's ridiculous rules, Nevin starts at .000/.000/.000....fresh start, right?

    good question. Don't know if they could get him up here, examine him, etc., etc. in time for tonight's game, but you never know

    Nevin will likely only play 1B. Yes he will. But with Nevin at first, where does that leave Walker? We all know that Womack is Dusty's kind of player, so that leaves Walker high and dry. And once Lee gets back, don't doubt Dusty's temptation to play the veteran over the young ginger. If Dusty played Womack over Walker then there really is no hope.

    Exactly. This is why you don't want this trade. Less playing time for Walker meaning: 1) his trade value goes down 2) if he doesn't get traded, he's more likely to walk in the offseason and we'll get nothing for a second baseman with a .350 obp um, Pedro's post had Walker playing full time: at 2B vs. Lefties and at 1B vs. Righties. How is that less playing time?

    who did you all really think Hendry could have acquired to replace Lee? Other GM's knew the situation he was in and could ask ridiculous prices for anyone the Cubs showed interest in. Hendry had zero leverage in any negotiations

    Season long sell-outs is a fairly new phenomenon historically. In fact, the attendance has risen as the # of WGN games has decreased. I think it's a spurious correlation
