"Stats only tell you part of the story. You have to have a feel for the player and his makeup, his character, his intangibles. If it were all about stats, then a computer (whatever that is) could be a manager." Morgan Voice>
This draft may not have a "sure thing" player, but it's darn interesting to be less than 36 hours from draft time and really have NO idea what's going to happen.
Unless Derrek is given the power to make personnel decisions and fill out the lineup card, all he can do is play his best every day. Too bad that won't amount to crap
Or exit vie Jackson St. and head East (in the direction of traffic). Go past the overhead El tracks until you see a subway sign for the Red Line. Head downstairs and take the Red Line train north to Addison. It will be pretty clear where to go from there :D EDIT: Dang you Fred!
Baker should be fired like Mr. Banks in Mary Poppins. Hendry goes up to him, removes his hat, punches a hole in it, puts it back on his head. He then rips the carnation from his lapel and turns his umbrella inside out.

Calling up kids is not a solution to anything. I've said this before, but here we go again: The Cubs are a LARGE MARKET TEAM. A team with a payroll pushing $100 million should not be relying on more than 2 or 3 homegrown "kids" to win. $100 million teams don't drop everything and go young. They don't rebuild. They reload. At least they should. The Cubs shouldn't have to rely on Guzman, Marshall and Marmol in the rotation next year because they can afford better.
Kent and Moises threw a fit when Stone complimented Oswalt on a solid pitching effort. Brenley better check his car for dynamite wired to his ignition if he keeps taking them to task.
