    Pink Floyd had one #1 single ever. So they are worse than CCR too? I wasn't talking about record sales or chart positions. ok, I'll rephrase. After Syd Barrett left the group in late '67/early '68, Pink Floyd only released 2 singles, one of which went #1. So I restate my original question Zep didn't release singles either, but they had a lot of great individual tunes, which is what I was getting at in my original post. I probably shouldn't have used the term "single" to make my point. well either way, Floyd is more of an album band. sorry to threadjack this scintillating matchup

    and i'm sure if you could steal gas anonymously on the internet you would to. I doubt you have the balls to go steal a CD from Best Buy what does that even mean it means he's going to justify stealing by saying that he only downloads imports or live stuff or rarities or whatever. First the "I hate the RIAA" excuse then another. Stealing is stealing

I think they are a niche, hillbilly band who have been idolized by the NASCAR crowd. Now they are a travelling cover band Hillbilly? Have you ever listened to them? Before I'm called a hillbilly homer, I voted for Queen :) yes, i've listened to them. Not my cup of tea. I'll admit "Tuesday's Gone" is a fine song, however

    Absolutely....Lynyrd Skynyrd ENDED in 1977 in a swamp in Mississippi. My vote goes for those guys, NOT these current posers who are on tour masquerading as Skynyrd. I'm not a huge Skynyrd fan, nor am I a huge Queen fan, but if you listen to some of Skynyrd's B-side, not so famous stuff, they could REALLY REALLY rock it out. Their three guitar sound was really cool. I hope anyone who cites the "three guitar sound" of Skynyrd as a reason to vote for them also votes for the Eagles (and voted for the 4 guitar sound of CSNY)

    Nobody WILL ever be better then Sandy Koufax, as much as I like Santana/Liriano, they prolly don't deserve to be mention in the same sentence. At least not right yet. And we all know the history of how the Twins got Liriano and Santana, much to the dismay of the Astros (Santana original team) and the Giants. Now the Astros, imagine if they had choose to hold onto Freddy Garcia, Bobby Abreu, Carlos Guillen, where would the Astros be with those guys? Baseball is strange, sometimes. How do you know nobody ever will be better than Koufax? Have you been to the future and come back? Nobody will have win more games than Cy Young. I don't need a time machine to bet all my money on that. The game changes and evolves in a way that make guarentees like these fairly believable. well, unless they move the mound back to around 50 feet away, raise it 3 feet of the ground and pitch starters every day, then no, no one will get as many wins as Cy Young.

    i'm not a huge fan of either, but I gave it to The Eagles by a slight margin. I don't expect either to make it out of the Sweet 16

But tell me how long Rodgers has toured with Queen compared to how long Skynyrd has toured without Van Zandt (and I'm not talking little brother)

    compared to the drumming I hear on Headbanger's Ball, Lars is head and shoulders above most current metal knuckledheads. Seems if you can play double bass as fast as possible, you too can have a video on MTV2
