    ??????? When you're 4 games above the last place team (read Second to last) and playing out the string too, let me ask you how you've been doing playing at the level of other teams???? by playing very well against the Cards and Mets but sucking against the Pirates. That's what I mean

    why the hate? I can understand people HATING Colplay or HATING Green Day, only because those groups are on the radio like every 5 minutes all day. But it's hardly like Pink Floyd is being forced down anyone's throats. Sure, classic rock radio plays the same 3 Floyd songs all the time, but the same can be said for just about any classic rock band

    I knew this would be close, but I didn't think Queen would be winning. I really like both bands, but Queen has more songs in their catalog that I simply don't like. I own nearly 30 Pink Floyd CD's and there is very, very little I don't at least like. Queen is either "I love it" or "I hate it" with me.

    a 3rd place finish would mean an extension for Baker and the front office thinking they are on the right track with the team, which they're not.

    That is what Len and Bob said last night that both games would be on WGN. We shall see, but I certainly hope so. (The only reason I'm not sure is that once or twice the schedule has changed and they didn't show both games-but I doubt that will happen this time.) is this a day/night double header, or should the second game start around 3:30-4pm central?

    you like them better personally or you think Metallica are actually better songwriters-musicmakers? Perhaps when some people want to crank up the radio, they aren't interested in "Love Me Do," "Yesterday" or "Penny Lane." I love when people argue that the Beatles aren't "rock" enough and then pick songs like Yesterday to attack. "Kerry Wood wasn't a fireballer. His curve barely hit 70 mph." Yes, but even if you take the Beatles' hardest song (say, Helter Skelter) it sounds like James Taylor compared to Battery No doubt Metallica is the heavier rock band. If his argument had been, "some people like to crank up the radio, and Metallica is better for that b/c they rock harder than the Beatles" - no problem. It's just that this has come up a few times now "the Beatles aren't rock" or whatever. But people always bring up Yesterday as support. Well, I noticed you didn't use Nothing Else Matters as your token Metallica song to prove that they rock. You picked what I assume is one of their harder rock songs to prove your point. That's valid - it makes sense. I'm just tired of reading that the Beatles aren't rock music b/c they wrote some great ballads. I know. Same thing happened with CSNY. People cried "Our House" isn't rock. Yeah, well how about "Woodstock" or "Almost Cut My Hair?"
