  1. this will only make Ankiel stronger
  2. the trachsel experiment was fun and all, but it's done. kthxbye
  3. shouldn't the perfect bonus pick be Ryan Braun (30) ?
  4. I: a) lived with my wife before marrying (but engaged) b) married young (22) c) am still married
  5. with the thread review fixed, can we lock this up here and direct people back to WCF?
  6. you mean the game where PSU's 2nd and 3rd string defense gave up some late scores? yeah, don't make it sound like Indiana was hanging with the Lions all game
  7. LT is better than Benson/Peterson. that was the difference At holding on to the ball...that's really the difference. it was enough
  8. LT is better than Benson/Peterson. that was the difference
  9. well that wasn't terribly surprising
  10. I don't know how the Bears work with their TEs, but whenever we had a TE out there in high school, if he saw a guy lined up in front of him or saw a guy blitzing it was his responsibility at the very LEAST to get a chip block on the defender before he goes out on route, or stay in to block completely. It's also the job of the outside tackle there to call out a shift to get the outside guy, with the guard getting the tackles responsibility and the center taking the guards. The QB also needs to be able to notice that and audible out, as someone already mentioned. Hopefully it's just a combo of SD having a great DL and it being the first game of the year. i just remember a few plays where the RG clearly had to make a decision who to block and chose the inside guy
  11. the new phpbb format will keep asking you "are you sure" you want to post if anyone posts between hitting "post reply" and "submit"
  12. line and backs have to adjust to it. it's up to them to give the proper line call and execute the blocking. I'm looking at you Mr. Overrated German Hawaiian guy. well that's up to Grossman to audible. if he sees someone lining up on the edge but doesn't change a play where the TE and RB's are running routes...
  13. Should we be worried? they beat Temple 42-7. THEY MUST BE AWESOME
  14. centre fielder? is that a position in cricket?
  15. some of the sacks are less about not blocking and more about SD taking advantage to TE's running routes rather than pass protecting. The guards can't block 2 or 3 guys at once
  16. complicated algorithms? sports doesn't always have to = math
  17. Those "Review Your Post" warnings when someone makes a post while you reply. It's ridiculous during game threads. oh yeah, that. i asked tim about that a few days ago and he never got back to me
  18. Buffalo. OH NOES
  19. what problems with WCF? lock this baby?
  20. Michigan with zero votes.
  21. And Auburn gets more votes than South Florida in the good ole boy poll. Just because USF beat Auburn it doesn't mean USF is a better team. Just because Oregon thrashed Michigan it doesn't mean Oregon is a better team. Just because ... Just because Michigan is 0-2 doesn't mean the entire Big 10 is weak. Just because....
  22. hilarious
  23. that stat seems misleading. i would recommend for anyone to live with their SO before marrying because, as someone else said, you really don't know everything about them until you live with them. i would think you'd have more problems with newly weds moving in together for the first time and suddenly discovering lots of little things about each other they never knew? also, how many people get engaged, move in together, and break it off before marrying? how does that affect the stats?
  24. i'm not making much of it. PSU beat a crap team just like they should have. Clausen's completion % was helped greatly by a string of screen and dump passes, but his yards/throw was pathetic. oh, and Morelli is a total mook. i hate the guy. can't wait till Pat Devlin is the starter + 1 Morelli reminded me of his play last year. sadly, we'll see Daryll frigging Clark next year because JoePa never starts an underclassmen over an upperclassmen
