  1. man, tons of calls on moving picks right now
  2. i picked Duke to win in my bracket but would like to see them lose
  3. it matters in terms of giving more plate appearances to crappy players and less to good players
  4. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/03/22/as-expected-it-s-sheets-in-the-opener.aspx Z-Sheets Lilly-Suppan Lieber-??? I thought Dempster was the #3 with Lieber or Marquis the #5
  5. That's a little misleading because up until recently, I believe, each region had the top 1/2 of it's bracket one place and the other half somewhere else. Every site contained either a 1-16 or 2-15 matchup. It's obviously not gonna happen in those situations, as only 1 two seed has ever lost. This year, Tampa and Denver were the only sites where the lower seeds even had a shot to pull that off. Raleigh, Little Rock, Omaha, and Anaheim all had the 1-16 games. Birmingham and DC had two 2-15 matchups. maybe, but it wasn't 8-9 matchups either. Tampa had two 5-12's and two 4-13's
  6. Are you in a different group than I am? Because I'm tied for dead last in the nsbb group with 19 out of 32. I have not picked 2 8/9 games right in 8 years. This year, I managed to miss all 4 of them. i'm in group # 20875
  7. Me=dead last in NSBB. 21 of 32. Ouch. Screwed the pooch on: Arkansas Oklahoma UNLV Villanova Siena Kansas St. Marquette Miami aTm W. Kentucky San Diego
  8. in case anyone missed it, Tampa was the first opening weekend site ever to see all 4 games won by lower seeds
  9. i had UConn and Vandy in the Sweet 16. Crap EDIT: and I'm dead last in the NSBB group
  10. He won 14 in 2003. Shhhhh, the truth doesn't matter in this thread. The point is, Wood is a sham and the Cubs are doomed. i figured i'd pull out 10 year old cliches about Wood, since that seems to be the thing to do in this thread
  11. well crap, I'm 2-2 in the early games today.
  12. god i love endings like that
  13.
  14. well, the incompetence could be tied to not going after Guerrero, Beltran, etc., and then settling for Soriano
  15. i would lay money that 75% of the people in this contest picked GEOVANY SOTO. but not me
  16. OVERTIME
  17. you are all forgetting that KERRY WOOD HAS NEVER WON MORE THAN 13 GAMES IN A SEASON
  18. the fact that you continue to think anyone cares what Meph or anyone else writes on that blog is amusing bordering on frightening OH CRAP TURNABOUT WHAT DO I DO? well played sir, well played. almost not totally transparent too. i'm not really sure what you keep going on about, but i'm sure it's amusing you to no end no, actually, it's pretty frustrating that you feel the need to keep derailing this thread with your crap. i'm not trying to amuse myself, i'm trying to have a freaking discussion about baseball, or conceptual baseball or whatever. just stop dude. seriously. let it go. fine, sorry to derail. you could've, you know, ignored my first comment.
  19. the fact that you continue to think anyone cares what Meph or anyone else writes on that blog is amusing bordering on frightening OH CRAP TURNABOUT WHAT DO I DO? well played sir, well played. almost not totally transparent too. i'm not really sure what you keep going on about, but i'm sure it's amusing you to no end
  20. will one of the 16 choices be "never play anything but pipe organ ever for any reason"?
  21. the fact that you continue to think anyone cares what Meph or anyone else writes on that blog is amusing bordering on frightening
  22. okay, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was 12-4 today, missing Kent St., Kentucky, USC and BYU. my Sweet 16 is fully intact
  23. i'mhaving one of my worst "first days" in recent memory. i don't even want to add up my w-l record right now
  24. That's fine. I'll just have one fewer guys on my roster until he is available. I'll draft the right to him. but can we do that? as i said, i was working under the assumption we couldn't, so if we're suddenly allowing this i'm calling BS
