  1. we'll see them for about 110 games now
  2. so how many Cubs games are in HD per week on EI?
  3. It does in Chicago. yeah, but not on the superstation. this is pissing me off to no end. now i have to pop another $50 to get EI in HD or I won't have any HD baseball all summer
  4. WGN's website says this is in HD, but it certainly isn't in HD for me. does DirecTV not get WGN in HD?
  5. so no HD? and my DirecTV channel guide doesn't have opening day listed as HD either.

  7. can IMB! just PM us all when he gets our rosters set up?
  8. are spring training games in HD?
  9. you're misremembering. if this were the Cubs, we'd be told he would be ready for Opening Day. then he'd miss one start then he'd be ready for the home opener then he'd be out 2-3 weeks then he'd be out until June 1 THEN he'd go on the 60 day DL, retroactive to Spring Training
  10. i hate that they have conflicting games on the second weekend. Just spread the games out again....CBS can handle now showing Oprah again today
  11. am i the only one who is completely sick of hearing/reading the name Ryan Theriot?
  12. thanks for letting me help, Laura.
  13. Yea, it'd be really nice if Harden's first start counted for me. i realized after posting that that it doesn't matter, since we're doing head-to-head and not roto.
  14. i'm getting the Xavier and Louisville games. no shock there
  15. that's often what happens with new stadiums. extort the city into paying for it, then fall into mediocrity (see: Pittsburgh, Cincy, Seattle, San Francisco, Houston....) Wasn't SF's park privately financed? you are correct. my bad.
  16. I have Longoria. At least he's not starting for me. :-" ditto
  17. The baseball-style approach has always been my preference for basketball, as well. The one-year rule is a sham perpetuated by the NBA upon college basketball. It makes a mockery of college athletics. If a player is prepared to jump straight from high school, let him. If a player goes to college, he should go to college as a student-athlete (and I'm not naive about this sort of thing, I'm actually more cynical than most. The NCAA just shouldn't sanction non student-athletes is all.). I completely agree. The one year rule is basically useless. What is the point of making a kid spend one year is college? Is he really going to benefit from taking a few freshmen intro classes? I doubt it. I've been talking about a baseball style rule for a while now. If a kid wants to go out of HS, let him. But if he decides to step foot on a college campus, he's got to stay for a couple years. But one year is a waste. in the NBA, though, I think that would drive more kids to jump from high school. in other words, they're only going to college at all because they have to. give eric gordon or whoever the option not to and they won't. how much would college basketball have suffered from not having Gordon, Mayo, Beasley, etc. this year?
