  1. this was the first forum name change in over 3 years. I still think this should be called the YankeesRedSoxBlueJaysRaysOriolesWhiteSoxTigersRoyalsTwinsIndiansA'sRangersMarinersAngelsMetsBravesPhilliesMarlinsNationalsAstrosRedsBrewersPiratesCardinalsRockiesDodgersGiantsPadresDiamondBacks Forum
  2. any other manager would not have left their young ace in a game for 140 pitches with an 8 run lead
  3. Me too. I doubt there was a bigger Patterson supporter on here when he was a cub. I dunno, there was that one REALLY fat guy. I remember him: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v386/edstevensiscool/4234.jpg yay! i miss that little guy. little?

  5. ? i figured as long as we were talking about nonsense....
  6. nor will Pete Rose's hits record or Cy Young's win record
  7. i prefer players with retangibles
  8. i'm a disappointing 4-6 after getting swept in the offensive categories this week. It sucks that we weren't going in Week 1, where Kosuke and McLouth's hot weeks would have gotten me more wins
  9. Jason Kidd is 6'4". Rose (6'3") is taller than Iverson (6'0") though. didn't realize Kidd was that tall. he and Nash always look shorter to me. I knew AI was short though
  10. For the first time in five years, we owe the government money. I'm not pleased. you've got kids and a house. if you owe money, you're not doing something right
  11. isn't Rose a lot taller than AI/Kidd though?

  13. Wow. That lawsuit would be thrown out of court, faster then an ARod at bat in the playoffs. I don't get it. A-Rod in the postseason: .279/.361/.483/.844 OMG AUTOMATIC OUT LOL
  14. so the Reds/Pirates game was on my EI last night. Maybe two blacked out teams negate each other into a non-blacked out game. or, maybe MLB had monkeys throwing feces at a yes/no chart for day-to-day blackouts
  15. throwing hard isn't the dispute. throwing hard with movement and control is. i'm sure there are thousands and thousands of people in America who could throw a ball 90mph, but can they locate it? is it straight? that's my point
  16. Brian Roberts
  17. LB Sean Lee has torn his ACL in spring practices and is out for the year for Penn State :banghead: ](*,) :banghead: ](*,) :banghead: ](*,) :banghead: ](*,) :banghead:
  18. He will be, trust me. A couple of yrs back, when he was called up from I believe Bakersfield to Montgomery, his arrival essentially led the Biscuits to the first of two AA Championships. A great comp for Longoria, would be Ryan Braun. Won't be AS good offensively (won't be signifiicantly worse with the bat), but will be significantly better defensively then Braun. Since the Rays AA team moved from Orlando to Montgomery, I thought there's been one better 3rd base prospect then Longoria, and that was Andy Marte. And yes I still believe Marte will be one heck of a 3rd baseman. he moved from Short-A to AA in about a month and a half. I missed seeing him play for (I think) Hudson Valley in the NYPL (I also missed Josh Hamilton on his short stay in Short-A post-rehab).
  19. Jeff has only touched his potential and it'd be unwise of you to think that at worst, he'll only be a "serviceable" Major Leaguer. You can chalk it up to Jeff's football background but he's the hardest working Minor Leaguer out there, including position players. Combine his work ethic and mental make up with his raw abilities and I wouldn't put anything past Jeff. I wouldn't ride him off because of his K/9. This is a big year for Jeff no doubt. sharkfan50 = Jeff Smardzija
  20. shouldn't have started Lilly again today
  21. it wouldn't be awesome, because that fatty would be peeing his pants when people throw him 98 mph fastballs and sliders that break 15 inches
  22. still a better home run call than Chris Berman
